Abstract
Description
本開示の態様は、チタン及びチタン合金の改善された部品を与え得るインベストメント鋳造用鋳型のための組成物を提供する。鋳型化学組成物は、チタン酸カルシウム及びアルミン酸カルシウムセメントを含む。より特定の実施形態において、鋳型化学組成物は、チタン酸カルシウム、アルミン酸カルシウムセメント、及びアルミナを含む。本開示の焼成鋳型中の相の重量分率の範囲は、限定することなく、5〜50重量パーセントのチタン酸カルシウム、20重量パーセント超のアルミン酸カルシウムセメント(例えば、15〜30重量パーセントのモノアルミン酸カルシウム及び15〜30重量パーセントのジアルミン酸カルシウム)、及び5〜70重量パーセントのアルミナ、又はより特には5〜30重量パーセントのアルミナであり得る。
本開示の態様で用いるアルミン酸カルシウムセメントは、典型的にはカルシウム及びアルミニウムの3つの相又は成分、即ち、モノアルミン酸カルシウム、ジアルミン酸カルシウム、及びマイエナイトを含む。モノアルミン酸カルシウムは、アルミン酸カルシウムセメント中に存在する水硬性鉱物である。モノアルミン酸カルシウムの水和は、インベストメント鋳型の高い初期強度に寄与する。マイエナイトは、それが水硬性結合の速い形成によって鋳型硬化の初期段階の間に強度を与えるので、セメント中で望ましい。しかしながら、マイエナイトは、典型的には鋳造前の鋳型の熱処理の間に減少する。
本開示の一態様は、チタン及びチタン合金並びに物品のための鋳造用鋳型を形成する方法であって、アルミン酸カルシウムを液体と合わせて、アルミン酸カルシウムのスラリーを生成させ、ここで、初期アルミン酸カルシウム/液体混合物中の固形物の割合は約60%から約80%であり、スラリーの粘度は約10から約250センチポイズであり;スラリーにチタン酸カルシウム粒子を添加し;大スケール(50ミクロン超)酸化物粒子と一緒の最終アルミン酸カルシウム/液体混合物中の固形物が約65%から約90%であるように、スラリーに酸化物粒子を添加し;消失性模型を有する鋳型キャビティにスラリーを導入し;スラリーを鋳型キャビティ内で硬化させて、チタン及びチタン合金並びに物品を鋳造する際の使用のための鋳型を形成することを含む方法である。固形物の割合は、パーセントとして記載される、ミックス中の液体及び固形物の全質量で除したミックス中の全固形物として定義される。
アルミン酸カルシウムセメントを、チタン酸カルシウム及びアルミナと混合して、インベストメント鋳型ミックスを生成させ、インベストメント鋳型化学の範囲を試験した。一実施例におけるインベストメント混合物は、70%アルミナ及び30%カルシアを有するアルミン酸カルシウムセメント、チタン酸カルシウム粒子、アルミナ粒子、水、並びにコロイドシリカからなった。
Claims (32)
- チタン含有物品を鋳造するための鋳型組成物であって、
チタン酸カルシウム;及び
モノアルミン酸カルシウムを含むアルミン酸カルシウムセメント
を含む鋳型組成物。 - 前記チタン酸カルシウムが、外形寸法で約100ミクロン未満である粒子を含む、請求項1記載の鋳型組成物。
- 前記チタン酸カルシウムが、前記鋳型組成物の約5重量%から約50重量%を構成する、請求項1記載の鋳型組成物。
- 酸化アルミニウム粒子をさらに含む、請求項1記載の鋳型組成物。
- 前記酸化アルミニウム粒子が、外形寸法で約10ミリメートル未満である粒子を含む、請求項4記載の鋳型組成物。
- 前記酸化アルミニウム粒子が、前記鋳型組成物の約5重量%から約70重量%を構成する、請求項4記載の鋳型組成物。
- 前記アルミン酸カルシウムセメントが、前記鋳造用鋳型組成物の約20重量%超を構成する、請求項1記載の鋳型組成物。
- 前記アルミン酸カルシウムセメントが、ジアルミン酸カルシウム、マイエナイト、又はジアルミン酸カルシウムとマイエナイトの両方をさらに含む、請求項1記載の鋳型組成物。

消失性模型を有する鋳型キャビティに前記スラリーを導入し;
前記スラリーを前記鋳型キャビティ内で硬化させて、前記チタン含有物品の前記鋳造用鋳型を形成する
ことを含む方法。 - 前記スラリーを鋳型キャビティに導入する前に、前記スラリーに酸化物粒子を導入することをさらに含む、請求項20記載の方法。
- 前記酸化物粒子が、酸化アルミニウム粒子、酸化マグネシウム粒子、酸化カルシウム粒子、酸化ジルコニウム粒子、酸化チタン粒子、酸化ケイ素粒子、及びそれらの組合せを含む、請求項21記載の方法。
