Abstract
Description
<化学式1に該当するヒドロキシキャッピング単量体の製造>
商業的に利用可能なBPA(Bisphenol A)287g(1当量)に4−ヒドロキシベンゾエート382g(2当量)を徐々に添加して、窒素パージ下で塩基条件下に添加して、60℃から120℃まで昇温しながら反応させた。薄層クロマトグラフィー(TLC)を通じてBPAがなくなることを確認した後、水を添加して反応を終結した。常温にして酢酸エチル、1N塩酸及び蒸留水を用いて有機層を分別抽出した後、硫酸マグネシウムを通じて有機層に残っている残余水分を除去し、これをろ過して、水分が除去された有機層を得た。得られた有機層は、回転減圧蒸発器を用いて溶媒を除去した。溶媒が除去された物質を酢酸エチルとメタノールを用いて再結晶して白色の固体、すなわち、化学式1(両末端ヒドロキシキャッピング構造)に該当する化合物(HB−BPA)を110g、90%の収率で得た。製造された物質は、Varian 500MHzを用いて1H NMRを通じて構造を確認した(図1参照)。
前記化学式1に該当するHP−BPAを用いてビスフェノールAとのトリホスゲン反応によって界面重合させて、高耐候性ポリカーボネート共重合体を製造した。
製造されたポリカーボネートにトリス(2,4−ジ−tert−ブチルフェニル)ホスファイト0.050重量部、オクタデシル−3−(3,5−ジ−tert−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネートを0.010重量部、テトラステアリン酸ペンタエリスリトールを0.030重量部添加して、ベント付きΦ30mm二軸押出機を用いてペレット化した後、JSW(株)N−20C射出成形機を用いてシリンダー温度300℃、金型温度90℃で射出成形した。
上記実施例1においてHB−BPA2mol%の代わりにHB−BPA5mol%を使用したこと以外は、上記実施例1と同様の方法でポリカーボネート及びその射出試片を製造した。ここで、ポリカーボネートは、重量平均分子量が33,000g/molであることを確認した。(Tg:147℃)
上記実施例1においてHB−BPA2mol%の代わりにHB−BPA10mol%を使用したこと以外は、上記実施例1と同様の方法でポリカーボネート及びその射出試片を製造した。ここで、ポリカーボネートは、重量平均分子量が33,000g/molであることを確認した。(Tg:147℃)
上記実施例1においてHB−BPAを使用せずに、その量だけBPA(bisphenol A)をさらに使用したこと以外は、上記実施例1と同様の方法でポリカーボネート及びその射出試片を製造した。ここで、ポリカーボネートは、重量平均分子量が33,000g/molであることを確認した。(Tg:147℃)
上記実施例1においてHB−BPA2mol%の代わりに、従来投入していたUV安定剤製品(Tinuvin234)20,000ppmを使用したこと以外は、上記実施例1と同様の方法でポリカーボネート及びその射出試片を製造した。ここで、ポリカーボネートは、重量平均分子量が33,000g/molであることを確認した。(Tg:147℃)
上記実施例1〜3及び比較例1〜2で製造されたポリカーボネートの射出試片の物性を下記の方法で測定し、その結果をそれぞれ下記の表1、図1、及び表2に示す。
*常温衝撃強度:ASTMD 256(1/8inch、Notched Izod)に準拠して23℃で測定して記録した。
Claims (18)
- 前記ヒドロキシキャッピング単量体は、前記R1及びR2はそれぞれ水素であり、Xは炭素数1〜3のアルキリデン基であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のヒドロキシキャッピング単量体。
- 前記ヒドロキシキャッピング単量体は、ポリカーボネートの製造において衝撃補強剤またはUV安定剤として用いられることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のヒドロキシキャッピング単量体。
- 前記ポリカーボネートは、前記芳香族ジオール単量体、カーボネート前駆体、及び前記化学式1で表されるヒドロキシキャッピング単量体の合計100重量%に対して、前記芳香族ジオール単量体25〜85重量%、前記化学式1で表されるヒドロキシキャッピング単量体1〜60重量%、及び前記カーボネート前駆体10〜70重量%で重合されたことを特徴とする、請求項5に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 前記化学式1で表されるヒドロキシキャッピング単量体は、前記芳香族ジオール単量体の含量を基準として0.1〜99.9モル%の範囲内で含まれることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 前記重合は界面重合であることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 前記芳香族ジオール単量体は、ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)メタン、ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)エーテル、ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)スルホン、ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)スルホキシド、ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)スルフィド、ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)ケトン、1,1−ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)エタン、2,2−ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロパン(ビスフェノールA)、2,2−ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)ブタン、1,1−ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)シクロヘキサン(ビスフェノールZ)、2,2−ビス(4−ヒドロキシ−3,5−ジブロモフェニル)プロパン、2,2−ビス(4−ヒドロキシ−3,5−ジクロロフェニル)プロパン、2,2−ビス(4−ヒドロキシ−3−ブロモフェニル)プロパン、2,2−ビス(4−ヒドロキシ−3−クロロフェニル)プロパン、2,2−ビス(4−ヒドロキシ−3−メチルフェニル)プロパン、2,2−ビス(4−ヒドロキシ−3,5−ジメチルフェニル)プロパン、1,1−ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)−1−フェニルエタン、ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)ジフェニルメタン、α,ω−ビス[3−(ο−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピル]ポリジメチルシロキサンからなる群から選択された1種以上であることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 前記ポリカーボネートは、分子量調節剤をさらに含んで重合されたことを特徴とする、請求項5に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 前記分子量調節剤はモノ−アルキルフェノールであることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 前記分子量調節剤は、前記芳香族ジオール単量体、カーボネート前駆体、及び前記化学式1で表されるヒドロキシキャッピング単量体の合計100重量部を基準として0.01〜10重量部含まれることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 前記ポリカーボネートは、重量平均分子量が10,000〜100,000g/molであり、ガラス転移温度が140〜180℃であることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載のポリカポリカーボネート。
- 請求項5乃至17のいずれかに記載のポリカーボネートを含むことを特徴とする、物品。
