- 前記前駆体構造を少なくとも摂氏約300度の温度及び最大で摂氏約1,300度で少なくとも約5分間真空中又は水素含有雰囲気又は酸化速度を減少させ得る他の雰囲気中で加熱して、前記前駆体構造を摂氏約300度未満に冷却してから、前駆体構造を少なくとも摂氏約1,350度の温度に少なくとも毎秒摂氏約100度の平均速度で加熱することを含む、請求項42〜44のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体構造が、Fe、Si、C及びクロム(Cr)を含み、Fe、Si、C及びCrの相対量がFe、Si、C及びCrの組合せが最大で摂氏約1,280度の液相線温度を有するように選択される、請求項42〜45のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体構造が、WC粒子などの複数の炭化物材料粒子を含む、請求項42〜46のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体構造が、少なくとも0.1ミクロン及び最大で10ミクロンの平均サイズを有する複数の炭化物材料粒子を含む、請求項42〜47のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前駆体構造が複数の炭化クロム粒子を含む、請求項42〜48のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体構造が超硬質材料を含有する、請求項42〜49のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体構造が、少なくとも約13重量パーセントのWC粒子、少なくとも0.1重量パーセント及び最大で10重量パーセントのSi又はSi含有化合物材料、並びに少なくとも0.1重量パーセント及び最大で10重量パーセントのCr又はCr含有化合物材料、並びに鉄族金属を含む、請求項42〜50のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体構造が、少なくとも約60重量パーセント及び最大で約80重量パーセントの炭化タングステン、少なくとも約10重量パーセント及び最大で約20重量パーセントのFe、少なくとも約5重量パーセントの炭化クロム粒子、並びに少なくとも約1.0重量パーセント及び最大で約5重量パーセントのSi粒子又はSiを含有する前駆体化合物を含む粒子を含む、請求項42〜51のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体構造が少なくとも2MPaの圧縮強度を有する、請求項42〜52のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体構造が顆粒状の形態である、請求項42〜53のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 複数の前駆体構造を組み合わせて一体の構造を提供する、請求項42〜54のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ホウ素(B)を前駆体構造中に、元素状又は化合物の形態で導入することを含む、請求項42〜55のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体構造を基材と接触させることを含み、該前駆体構造が該基材に融合するために十分な時間基材と接触している間、該前駆体構造は少なくとも摂氏約1,350度の温度である、請求項42〜56のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 複数の前記前駆体構造を、少なくとも摂氏約1,350度の温度に少なくとも毎秒摂氏約100度の平均速度で加熱して、該温度で前記前駆体構造を基材上に堆積させ、前記前駆体構造を摂氏約1,000度未満に少なくとも毎秒約20度の速度で冷却することを含む、請求項42〜57のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 複数の前記前駆体構造を、高温噴霧装置により基材上に堆積させることを含む、請求項42〜58のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 複数の前記前駆体構造を、プラズマトーチ、レーザビームトーチ又はフレームトーチにより基材上に堆積させることを含む、請求項42〜59のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体構造が隣接層を形成するように、複数の該前駆体構造を基材と接触させることを含む、請求項42〜60のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 複数の前記前駆体構造を、鉄族金属を含む基材と接触させることを含む、請求項42〜61のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 複数の前記前駆体構造を、鋼を含む基材と接触させることを含む、請求項42〜62のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記基材ボディの少なくとも一部を除去することを含む、請求項57〜63のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
