- 硬質成分を形成する粉末を用意する工程
- Co、Fe、及びNiから選択される結合相を形成する粉末を用意する工程
- フライス切削液(milling liquid)を用意する工程
- 粉末を、フライス切削し、乾燥させ、加圧し、焼結して超硬合金にする工程
を含み、W、W2C、Mo、又はMo2Cの一又は複数が、焼結超硬合金の炭素含有量が対理論値不足値で-0.30重量%から-0.16重量%の間であるような量で添加される。
図1は、焼結体の対理論値炭素含有量不足値-0.17重量%を有する、本発明による超硬合金のLOM画像を示す図である。
図2は、特許請求の範囲よりも少ない炭素含有量、対理論値炭素含有量不足値-0.35重量%を有する粉末から製造された超硬合金のLOM画像を示す図である。
図3は、焼結体の対理論値炭素含有量不足値-0.15重量%、すなわち特許請求の範囲よりも多い炭素含有量を有する超硬合金のLOM画像を示す図である。
図4は、対理論値炭素含有量不足値-0.13重量%を有する粉末から製造された、結合剤としてNiを有する、本発明による超硬合金のLOM画像を示す図である。
図5は、焼結体の対理論値炭素含有量不足値が-0.14重量%の勾配を形成する浸炭熱処理を施した超硬合金のLOM画像を示す図である。
図6は、ピークの番号付けが1=WC、2=M6C、3=M12C、4=Coである、CVDコーティング前(A)及びCVDコーティング後(B)のXRD回折を示す図である。

超硬合金は、コバルトがNi 6重量%で置き換えられ、且つ焼結前の粉末の対理論値炭素含有量不足値が-0.13重量%であったことを除いて、実施例1に記載されたのと同様に製造された。
超硬合金インサートは、実施例1と同様に製造され、発明1と同じ組成を有する。
超硬合金インサートは、表1の発明1と同じ原料で製造されたが、粉末の対理論値炭素不足値は-0.11重量%であった。インサートは、粉末を、蒸発皿乾燥ではなく噴霧乾燥させたことを除いて、実施例1と同様に製造された。次いで、インサートの一つに、第1の薄いTiN層を含むCVDコーティングでコーティングし、次いでTi(C,N)層2.7μmを885℃で蒸着し、次いでα-Al2O3層2.7μm及び最外部のTiN層1.2μmを両方1000℃で蒸着した。4時間+4時間(全体で約8.5時間)。

(実施例)
この試験、正面フライス試験において、本発明によるコーティングされた超硬合金を、全て同じ寸法の、先行技術による3種のインサートと比較した。試験は、ねずみ鋳鉄において、以下の切削パラメータで、湿潤条件の下実施された。

Claims (12)
- Co、Fe、及びNiの一又は複数を含む結合相を含む超硬合金基材を備える切削工具であって、超硬合金は、Me12C炭化物及び/又はMe6C炭化物を含むη相も含み、Meは、W、Mo、及び結合相金属から選択される一又は複数の金属であり、超硬合金の対理論値炭素含有量不足値は-0.30重量%から-0.16重量%の間であり、η相が、0.5から3μmの粒径を有する、切削工具。
- 超硬合金の対理論値炭素含有量不足値が、-0.28重量%から-0.17重量%の間である、請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 超硬合金のη相の量が2から10体積%の間である、請求項1又は2に記載の切削工具。
- 結合相含有量が2から20重量%である、請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 結合相がコバルトである、請求項1から4の何れか一項に記載の切削工具。
- η相分布が、超硬合金基材全体にわたって同じである、請求項1から5の何れか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 超硬合金基材に、耐摩耗性CVDコーティングが施されている、請求項1から6の何れか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 超硬合金基材に、少なくともTi(C,N)層及びAl2O3層を含むCVDコーティングが施されている、請求項1から7の何れか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 超硬合金基材を備える切削工具を製造する方法であって、
- 0.4から9μmの粒径を有するWC粉末を含む硬質成分を形成する粉末を用意すること、
- Co、Fe、及びNiから選択される結合相を形成する粉末を用意すること、
- フライス切削液を用意すること、
- 粉末を、粉砕し、乾燥させ、加圧し、焼結して、超硬合金にすること、
とを含み、
W、W2C、Mo、又はMo2Cの一又は複数が、焼結超硬合金の炭素含有量対理論値不足値で-0.30重量%から-0.16重量%の間であるような量で添加される、方法。 - 超硬合金の対理論値炭素含有量不足値が-0.28重量%から-0.17重量%の間である、請求項9に記載の方法。
- W又はW2Cが添加される、請求項9又10に記載の方法。
- 超硬合金基材に、耐摩耗性CVDコーティングが施される、請求項9から11の何れか一項に記載の方法。
