本発明に記載する表面張力の低減を例証するために、対応する成形化合物を最初に調製した。このために、個々の成分をツインスクリュー押し出し機(Coperion Werner&PfleidererからのZSK 26 Mega Compounder(シュトゥットガルト,ドイツ))内で250〜285℃の温度で混合し、ストランド押出し、造粒可能な温度まで冷却し、造粒した。乾燥した後(一般的に、真空乾燥庫内で80℃で2〜6時間)、ペレットを試験片に加工した。
本発明の手法における熱可塑性繊維の表面張力を低減させるために、メルトブロー装置を用い、約55g/m2の坪量を有する繊維不織ウェブを作製した。約275℃での溶融温度と約360℃での熱空気流を用いて、試験を実施した。300μmの金型径から約1μmの平均繊維厚さを得るように、溶融物押出量と空気体積流量との比を選択した。本発明に記載される繊維不織ウェブと比較例の繊維不織ウェブは、使用する特定のポリマー組成物だけが異なり、他の全てのパラメーター、つまり不織ウェブのパラメーター(例、坪量、孔径、繊維配向および繊維厚さ等)は、本発明と比較例で同じ各パラメーターを維持する。

Claims (10)
- 熱可塑性物質ベースの繊維またはフィラメントの表面張力を低減する方法において、前記熱可塑性物質は、α−オレフィンと6〜30個の炭素原子を有する未置換の脂肪族アルコールのアクリル酸エステルもしくはメタクリル酸エステルとの少なくとも1種のE/Xコポリマーが添加され、溶融紡糸プロセスによって紡糸され、使用される前記熱可塑性物質が、ポリアミドまたはポリエステルであることを特徴とする方法。
- 使用される前記ポリエステルが、ポリアルキレンテレフタレート、好ましくはポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリトリメチレンテレフタレートまたはポリブチレンテレフタレート、さらに好ましくはポリブチレンテレフタレートおよびポリエチレンテレフタレート、特に最も好ましくはポリブチレンテレフタレート、またはこれらのテレフタレートの混合物であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 使用される前記ポリアミドが、脂肪族ポリアミドであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。

- α−オレフィンが、エテン、プロペン、1−ブテン、1−ペンテン、1−ヘキセン、1−オクテン、3−メチル−1−ペンテン、好適なα−オレフィンは、エテンおよびプロペンであり、エテンが、極めて特に好ましい、およびこれらのα−オレフィンの混合物を含んでなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記コポリマーのα−オレフィン含有量が、50〜90wt%、好ましくは55〜75wt%であることを特徴とする請求項5または6に記載の方法。
- 慣用に添加される物質、好ましくは染料、さらに疎水化剤、艶消し剤、安定剤、帯電防止剤、潤滑剤、分岐剤が、0.001〜5.0wt%の量で前記熱可塑性コポリマー混合物に加えられることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性物質が、エチレンと6〜30個の炭素原子を有する未置換の脂肪族アルコールのアクリル酸エステルとのE/Xコポリマー、好ましくはEエチレンとX6〜20個の炭素原子を有するアクリル酸エステルとのE/Xコポリマー、さらに好ましくはEエチレンとX2−エチルヘキシルアクリレートとのE/Xコポリマーを添加されることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 熱可塑性物質ベースの繊維またはフィラメント、好ましくはポリアミドまたはポリエステルの群からの熱可塑性物質ベースの繊維またはフィラメントの表面張力を低減するためのα−オレフィンとアクリル酸エステルまたはメタクリル酸エステルとの少なくとも1種のE/Xコポリマーの使用。
