Claims (11)
- 素板ガラスに圧縮応力を発生させて素板ガラスを強化させる強化ステップと、
前記強化された素板ガラスの切断したい切断部に熱を加えて圧縮応力を緩和する圧縮応力緩和ステップ、及び
前記切断部をカットするカッティングステップと
を含むことを特徴とする強化ガラスのカッティング方法。 - 前記圧縮応力緩和ステップは、熱線を用いて前記切断部に熱を加えて圧縮応力を緩和してなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の強化ガラスのカッティング方法。
- 前記圧縮応力緩和ステップで前記切断部に加えられる熱は、強化された前記素板ガラスの転移点以上かつ溶融点未満の温度を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の強化ガラスのカッティング方法。
- 前記圧縮応力緩和ステップにて緩和された前記切断部の圧縮応力は100MPa以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の強化ガラスのカッティング方法。
- 前記切断部の幅は5mm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の強化ガラスのカッティング方法。
- 前記強化ステップでは、前記素板ガラスを化学強化または熱強化することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の強化ガラスのカッティング方法。
- 前記化学強化は、前記素板ガラスの表面を硝酸カリウム溶液と酸化亜鉛粉末とを混合してなるイオン交換溶液スラリーで被覆し乾燥してから加熱してなることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の強化ガラスのカッティング方法。
- 前記カッティングステップでは、レーザーまたはスクライブ(scribe)装置を利用して前記切断部をカットすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の強化ガラスのカッティング方法。
- 圧縮応力を発生させて強化した素板ガラスをカットする強化ガラスのカッティング装置であって、
前記素板ガラスが載置される一方の面に溝が形成された基板、及び
前記溝に嵌め込まれる熱線、を含む強化ガラスのカッティング装置。 - 前記溝は複数であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の強化ガラスのカッティング装置。
- 前記基板は耐熱ガラス基板であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の強化ガラスのカッティング装置。
