Claims (27)
- 正極/分離膜/負極構造の電極組立体が電解液とともに電池ケースの内部に封止されており、上端面に第1及び第2電極端子が設けられている電池セルと、
前記電池セルの前記第2電極端子が露出されるように開口が設けられており、前記電池セルの上端面に装着される電気絶縁性の装着部材と、
保護回路が設けられており、前記装着部材上に搭載される基板(PCB)、前記第1電極端子に接続される接続部材(A)、及び安全素子を介して前記第2電極端子に接続される接続部材(B)を有しており、前記接続部材(B)が露出される貫通口が前記PCB上に穿設されている保護回路モジュール(PCM)と、
前記接続部材と前記保護回路基板とが搭載された状態で前記絶縁性装着部材を覆いながら前記電池セルの上端部に結合される絶縁性キャップと、
を備えており、
前記PCM及び絶縁性キャップの全体高さが3.0mm以下であることを特徴とする、二次電池パック。 - 前記絶縁性キャップの厚さが0.4mm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記PCBの厚さが0.6mm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池ケースが角形の金属缶であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記第2電極端子が、前記電池セルの上端面の中央から突出している負極端子であり、前記第1電極端子が、前記負極端子を除いて前記電池セルの上端面に設けられている正極端子であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記接続部材が、表面実装技術(SMT)方式によってPCBの下面に結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。

- 前記PTC素子が、PTC本体、前記PTC本体の上面に結合されているPCM結合部、及び前記PTC本体の下面に結合されている電池セル結合部を有しており、前記PCM結合部が前記PCBの貫通口を通って前記接続部材(B)に結合されることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記接続部材(A)の一側端部が、上方に露出されるように前記PCBの外側縁よりも長く延びた状態で前記PCBの下面に結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セルへの前記PCBの装着安全性を提供するために、一側端部が前記PCBの下面に結合されており、他側端部が前記電池セルの上端面に結合される装着補助部材をさらに備えることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記装着補助部材が、前記接続部材(A)と対向する位置に結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記装着補助部材が、一側端部が上方に露出されるように前記PCBの外側縁よりも長く延びた状態で前記PCBの下面に結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記装着補助部材がニッケルプレートであることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池ケースの上端面への前記絶縁性キャップの結合は、接着方式によって達成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セルがリチウム二次電池セルであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セルが、電極組立体が電解液とともに、アルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金からなる電池ケースの内部に封止されているものであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 請求項17に記載の電池セルの製造方法であって、
(a)電池ケースの上端外周から下方に所定大きさの不コーティングマージン区間をおくとともに、電池セル活性化工程のための充電ピンの接続のために接続用開口区間を前記電池ケースの下端面に設けた状態で、前記電池ケースの全体表面を陽極酸化(anodizing)コートする段階と、
(b)前記電池ケースの内部に電極組立体を装着し、前記電池ケースの開放上端にキャッププレートをレーザー溶接する段階と、
(c)前記キャッププレートの電解液注入口から電解液を注入し、電池セル活性化工程を行う段階と、
(d)前記電解液を補充した後、前記電解液注入口を封じる段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の方法。 - 前記段階(a)が、
(a1)脱脂溶液に前記電池ケースを浸漬した後、取り出し水洗する脱脂過程と、
(a2)酸洗浄液に前記電池ケースを浸漬した後、取り出して水洗する酸洗浄過程と、
(a3)前記電池ケースの表面に酸化被膜を形成する陽極酸化コーティング過程と、
を含むことを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。 - 前記不コーティングマージン区間が、前記電池ケースの上端外周から下方に0.5mm〜5mmであることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記不コーティングマージン区間が、前記電池ケース上に絶縁物質を塗布し、又は絶縁体もしくは絶縁テープを装着もしくは貼付した状態で陽極酸化コートした後、前記絶縁物質、絶縁体又は絶縁テープを除去することによって形成することを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記段階(b)のレーザー溶接は、前記キャッププレートの上部から前記電池セルの外周面に沿って行うことを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記段階(a)において、
段階(c)の電池セル活性化工程のための前記充電ピンの接続のために接続用開口区間を前記電池ケースの下端面に形成する過程をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。 - 前記接続用開口区間が、平面視で円形又は多角形の形状であることを特徴とする、請求項23に記載の方法。
- 前記接続用開口区間が、前記電池ケースの下端面の一部に絶縁物質を塗布し、又は絶縁体もしくは絶縁テープを装着もしくは貼付した状態で陽極酸化コートした後、前記絶縁物質、絶縁体又は絶縁テープを除去することによって形成することを特徴とする、請求項23に記載の方法。
- 段階(d)の後に、前記接続用開口区間を絶縁部材で封止する過程をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項23に記載の方法。
- 前記絶縁部材は、絶縁テープ、接着糊及びコーティング物からなる群から選ばれる1種以上であることを特徴とする、請求項26に記載の方法。
