Abstract
Description
天然黒鉛/アセチレンブラック/PVDF=70/5/25の混合物とN‐メチルピロリドン(NMP)溶媒とを混合して負極活物質スラリーを製造した後、前記スラリーを直径125μmの銅からなるワイヤ型集電体にコーティングして負極活物質層を形成した。
正極としては、リチウム金属ホイルを使用し、負極としては、実施例1で製造されたワイヤ型電極を渦巻き状のコイルの形態に製作したものを使用し、前記負極と前記正極との間にポリエチレン分離膜を介在することで、電極組立体を製造した。
高分子樹脂層を形成しなかったことを除き、実施例1と同様の方法でワイヤ型電極を製造した。
天然黒鉛/アセチレンブラック/PVDF=70/5/25の混合物とNMP溶媒とを混合して負極活物質スラリーを製造した後、前記スラリーで銅からなるホイルをコーティングしてフィルム型の電極を製造した。
負極として比較例2によって製造されたフィルム型の電極を用いたことを除き、実施例2と同様の方法でコイン型ハーフセルを製造した。
実施例1及び比較例1によって製造されたワイヤ型電極を直径1.5mmの円筒型の棒に巻いて、負極活物質層の脱離の程度を比較した。
実施例2及び比較例3によって製造されたコイン型ハーフセルを用いて、充放電特性を評価した。
Claims (25)
- 2以上のワイヤ型電極が互いに螺旋状に撚られた螺旋電極を含むケーブル型二次電池用負極であって、
前記ワイヤ型電極の各々は、
ワイヤ型集電体、前記ワイヤ型集電体の外面にコーティングされた負極活物質層、及び前記負極活物質層の外面にコーティングされた高分子樹脂層を含むケーブル型二次電池用負極。 - 前記ワイヤ型集電体が、ステンレス鋼、アルミニウム、ニッケル、チタン、焼成炭素もしくは銅;カーボン、ニッケル、チタンもしくは銀で表面処理されたステンレス鋼;アルミニウム‐カドミウム合金;導電材で表面処理された非伝導性高分子;または伝導性高分子から製造されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 前記負極活物質層が、負極活物質、伝導性粒子、及び高分子バインダーを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 前記負極活物質が、天然黒鉛、人造黒鉛または炭素質材料;リチウム含有チタン複合酸化物(LTO);Si、Sn、Li、Zn、Mg、Cd、Ce、NiまたはFeを含む金属類(Me);前記金属類(Me)の合金類;前記金属類(Me)の酸化物(MeOx);及び前記金属類(Me)と炭素との複合体;からなる群より選択されたいずれか一つの活物質またはこれらのうち2種以上の混合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 前記伝導性粒子が、カーボンブラック、アセチレンブラック、ケッチェンブラック、及び炭素繊維からなる群より選択されたいずれか一つまたはこれらのうち2種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 前記高分子バインダーが、ポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)、フッ化ビニリデン‐ヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合体(PVDF‐HFP)、ポリフッ化ビニリデン‐トリクロロエチレン、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリエチレンイミン、ポリ塩化ビニリデン、ポリブチルアクリレート、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリ‐p‐フェニレンテレフタルアミド、ポリビニルピロリドン、ポリビニルアセテート、ポリイミド、エチレンビニルアセテート共重合体、ポリエチレンオキサイド、ポリアリレート、セルロースアセテート、セルロースアセテートブチレート、セルロースアセテートプロピオネート、シアノエチルプルラン、シアノエチルポリビニルアルコール、シアノエチルセルロース、シアノエチルスクロース、プルラン、スチレン‐ブタジエンゴム、及びカルボキシルメチルセルロースからなる群より選択されたいずれか一つまたはこれらのうち2種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 前記負極活物質層の厚さが、10μmないし300μmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 前記高分子樹脂層の厚さが、10nmないし100μmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 前記高分子樹脂層が、線型高分子または架橋高分子からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 前記線型高分子が、ポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)、フッ化ビニリデン‐ヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合体(PVDF‐HFP)、ポリフッ化ビニリデン‐トリクロロエチレン、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリエチレンイミン、ポリ塩化ビニリデン、ポリブチルアクリレート、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリ‐p‐フェニレンテレフタルアミド、ポリビニルピロリドン、ポリビニルアセテート、ポリイミド、エチレンビニルアセテート共重合体、ポリエチレンオキサイド、ポリアリレート、セルロースアセテート、セルロースアセテートブチレート、セルロースアセテートプロピオネート、シアノエチルプルラン、シアノエチルポリビニルアルコール、シアノエチルセルロース、シアノエチルスクロース、プルラン、スチレン‐ブタジエンゴム、及びカルボキシルメチルセルロースからなる群より選択されたいずれか一つまたはこれらのうち2種以上の混合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 前記架橋高分子が、2個以上の官能基を有する単量体の重合体、または2個以上の官能基を有する単量体と1個の官能基を有する極性単量体との共重合体であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 前記2個以上の官能基を有する単量体が、トリメチロールプロパンエトキシレートトリアクリレート、ポリエチレングリコールジメタクリレート、ポリエチレングリコールジアクリレート、ジビニルベンゼン、ポリエステルジメタクリレート、ジビニルエーテル、トリメチロールプロパン、トリメチロールプロパントリメタクリレート、及びエトキシ化ビスフェノールAジメタクリレートからなる群より選択されたいずれか一つまたはこれらのうち2種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 前記1個の官能基を有する極性単量体が、メチルメタクリレート、エチルメタクリレート、ブチルメタクリレート、メチルアクリレート、ブチルアクリレート、エチレングリコールメチルエーテルアクリレート、エチレングリコールメチルエーテルメタクリレート、アクリロニトリル、ビニルアセテート、塩化ビニル、及びフッ化ビニルからなる群より選択されたいずれ一つまたはこれらのうち2種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- ワイヤ型集電体、及び前記ワイヤ型集電体の外面にコーティングされた負極活物質層を含むワイヤ型電極2以上が互いに螺旋状に撚られた螺旋電極;並びに前記螺旋電極の外面にコーティングされた高分子樹脂層;を含むケーブル型二次電池用負極。
- 所定形状の水平断面を有して長手方向に延長されたケーブル型二次電池であって、
長手方向に延長されて互いに平行に配置された2以上の螺旋電極を含む負極;
前記負極を囲んで充填され、イオンの通路となる電解質層;
前記電解質層の外面を囲んで形成された正極活物質層と、前記正極活物質層の外面を囲んで形成された正極集電体とを備える正極;及び
前記正極の外面を囲んで形成された保護被覆;を含み、
前記負極は、請求項1ないし請求項14のうちいずれか一項に記載の負極であるケーブル型二次電池。 - 前記電解質層が、PEO、PVdF、PVdF‐HFP、PMMA、PANまたはPVACを用いたゲル型高分子電解質;およびPEO、ポリプロピレンオキシド(PPO)、ポリエチレンイミン(PEI)、ポリエチレンスルフィド(PES)またはポリビニルアセテート(PVAc)を用いた固体電解質;から選択された電解質を含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のケーブル型二次電池。
- 前記電解質層が、リチウム塩を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のケーブル型二次電池。
- 前記リチウム塩が、LiCl、LiBr、LiI、LiClO4、LiBF4、LiB10Cl10、LiPF6、LiCF3SO3、LiCF3CO2、LiAsF6、LiSbF6、LiAlCl4、CH3SO3Li、CF3SO3Li、(CF3SO2)2NLi、クロロほう酸リチウム、低級脂肪族カルボン酸リチウム、及びテトラフェニルホウ酸リチウムからなる群より選択されたいずれか一つまたはこれらのうち2種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする請求項17に記載のケーブル型二次電池。
- 前記正極活物質層が、LiCoO2、LiNiO2、LiMn2O4、LiCoPO4、LiFePO4、LiNiMnCoO2、及びLiNi1-x-y-zCoxM1yM2zO2(M1及びM2は互いに独立して、Al、Ni、Co、Fe、Mn、V、Cr、Ti、W、Ta、Mg及びMoからなる群より選択され、x、y及びzは互いに独立した酸化物組成元素の原子分率であって、0≦x<0.5、0≦y<0.5、0≦z<0.5、x+y+z≦1である)からなる群より選択されたいずれか一つの活物質またはこれらのうち2種以上の混合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のケーブル型二次電池。
- 前記正極集電体が、ステンレス鋼、アルミニウム、ニッケル、チタン、焼成炭素もしくは銅;カーボン、ニッケル、チタンもしくは銀で表面処理されたステンレス鋼;アルミニウム‐カドミウム合金;導電材で表面処理された非伝導性高分子;伝導性高分子;Ni、Al、Au、Ag、Al、Pd/Ag、Cr、Ta、Cu、BaもしくはITOである金属粉末を含む金属ペースト;または黒鉛、カーボンブラックもしくは炭素ナノチューブである炭素粉末を含む炭素ペースト;から製造されたことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のケーブル型二次電池。
- 所定形状の水平断面を有して長手方向に延長されたケーブル型二次電池であって、
電解質を含むリチウムイオン供給コア部;
前記リチウムイオン供給コア部の外面を囲んで形成される負極;
前記負極の外面を囲んで形成され、電極の短絡を防止する分離層;
前記分離層の外面を囲んで形成された正極活物質層と、前記正極活物質層の外面を囲んで形成された正極集電体とを備える正極;及び
前記正極の外面を囲んで形成された保護被覆;を含み、
前記負極は、請求項1ないし請求項14のうちいずれか一項に記載の負極であるケーブル型二次電池。 - 前記負極が、前記リチウムイオン供給コア部の外面を螺旋状に囲んで巻き取られたことを特徴とする請求項21に記載のケーブル型二次電池。
- 前記負極が、前記リチウムイオン供給コア部の外面に沿って長手方向に平行に配置されたことを特徴とする請求項21に記載のケーブル型二次電池。
- 前記分離層が、電解質層またはセパレータであることを特徴とする請求項21に記載のケーブル型二次電池。
- 前記セパレータが、エチレン単独重合体、プロピレン単独重合体、エチレン‐ブテン共重合体、エチレン‐ヘキセン共重合体、及びエチレン‐メタクリレート共重合体からなる群より選択されたポリオレフィン系高分子から製造された多孔性基材;ポリエステル、ポリアセタール、ポリアミド、ポリカーボネート、ポリイミド、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、ポリエーテルスルホン、ポリフェニレンオキサイド、ポリフェニレンスルファイト、及びポリエチレンナフタレンからなる群より選択された高分子から製造された多孔性基材;または無機物粒子とバインダー高分子との混合物から形成された多孔性基材であることを特徴とする請求項24に記載のケーブル型二次電池。
