Abstract
Description
本願は、2011年11月30日に出願された、米国特許仮出願第61/565,090号の利益を主張し、その全体が本願明細書に援用されている。
本発明は概してシステム表面上のスケールの堆積を溶解及び/又は抑制するための組成物に関し、更に詳細には酸性の成分、湿潤剤、及び腐食防止剤を含む組成物に関し、且つ該システム表面上のスケールの堆積を溶解及び/又は抑制するための方法に関する。
酸洗浄は、冷却塔からの無機スケールの堆積を除去するための従来法である。除去されない場合、スケールは冷却塔の効率を低下させ、これはより低いΔT、即ち、より小さい冷却塔の熱い側と冷たい側との間の水温差に反映される。冷却塔は、多くの場合、金属部品(例えば、配管、熱交換器など)を含有するので、金属表面が酸によって損傷するのを防ぐために、酸洗浄工程中に適合性の腐食防止剤が必要とされている。
本発明は、システムの表面上のスケールの堆積を溶解及び/又は抑制するための組成物を提供する。組成物は、酸性成分、湿潤剤、及び腐食防止剤を含む。酸性成分はアルカンスルホン酸を含む。湿潤剤は界面活性剤を含む。腐食防止剤は、湿潤剤の界面活性剤とは異なる両性界面活性剤を含む。アルカンスルホン酸は、少なくとも約50質量パーセント(質量%)の量で存在する。湿潤剤の界面活性剤は、約0.1質量%〜約30質量%の量で存在する。腐食防止剤の両性界面活性剤は、約0.025質量%〜約20質量%の量で存在する。上記の質量パーセントは、それぞれ100質量%の組み合わせたアルカンスルホン酸、界面活性剤、及び両性界面活性剤を基準とする。本発明はまた、組成物とシステムの表面とを接触させることによってシステムの表面上のスケールの堆積を溶解及び/又は抑制する方法を提供する。

本発明は、システムの表面上のスケールの堆積を溶解及び/又は抑制するための組成物を提供する。典型的には、組成物は、システムの表面上のスケールを溶解するのに少なくとも有用であり、また、そのような問題が生じる場合、システムの表面上のスケールの再堆積を抑制するのに有用であり得る。スケールはまた、当該技術分野における汚れ/汚染を意味し得る。組成物は、以下に更に記載されるような、従来の酸洗浄溶液、例えば、塩酸(HCl)洗浄液を置き換えるのに特に有用である。
I)RCH2NHCH2CH2COOM
II)RCH2N(CH2CH2COOM)2
(式中、Mは塩形成カチオン(例えば、Na又はH)であり且つRは長鎖脂肪酸RCOOH、例えば、C7〜C35、又はC7〜C18脂肪酸の炭化水素部分である)。かかる両性界面活性剤としては、ナトリウムN−ココ−β−アミノプロピオネート、N−ココ−βアミノプロピオン酸;N−ラウリル、ミリスチル−β−アミノプロピオン酸;ジナトリウムN−獣脂−β−イミノプロピオネート;ジナトリウムN−ラウリル−β−イミノプロピオネート(ナトリウムラウリミノジプロピオネートとしても知られている);及びN−ラウリル−β−イミノプロピオン酸の部分ナトリウム塩が挙げられる。一実施態様では、両性界面活性剤は、ナトリウムラウリミノジプロピオネートを含む。
様々な成分の腐食速度を評価する。具体的には、亜鉛メッキ鋼を含むクーポンを様々な組成物で評価する。組成物は、酸性成分(AC)を提供することによって作られる。ACは70質量%のメタンスルホン酸(MSA)、残部の水を含む。ACは、BASF社から市販されている。
Claims (20)
- システムの表面上のスケールの堆積を溶解及び/又は抑制するための組成物であって、
前記組成物は、
i)アルカンスルホン酸を含む酸性成分;
ii)界面活性剤を含む湿潤剤;及び
iii)両性界面活性剤を含む腐食防止剤;
を含み、
前記アルカンスルホン酸は少なくとも約50質量パーセント(質量%)の量で存在し、前記界面活性剤は約0.1質量%〜約30質量%の量で存在し、且つ前記両性界面活性剤は約0.025質量%〜約20質量%の量で存在し、それぞれ前記アルカンスルホン酸、前記界面活性剤、及び前記両性界面活性剤が組み合わされた100質量%を基準とする、前記組成物。 - 前記アルカンスルホン酸がメタンスルホン酸(MSA)である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記アルカンスルホン酸が、約50質量%〜約99質量%、あるいは約65質量%〜約95質量%の量で存在し、それぞれ前記アルカンスルホン酸、前記界面活性剤、及び前記両性界面活性剤が組み合わされた100質量%を基準とする、請求項1又は2に記載の組成物。
- 前記湿潤剤の前記界面活性剤が非イオン性界面活性剤である、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記湿潤剤の前記界面活性剤が、前記腐食防止剤の前記両性界面活性剤とは異なる両性界面活性剤である、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記湿潤剤の前記界面活性剤がアルコールアルコキシレート、あるいはアルコールエトキシレートである、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記湿潤剤の前記界面活性剤が、約1質量%〜約25質量%、あるいは約5質量%〜約20質量%の量で存在し、それぞれ前記アルカンスルホン酸、前記界面活性剤、及び前記両性界面活性剤が組み合わされた100質量%を基準とする、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記腐食防止剤の前記両性界面活性剤が、プロピオネート、あるいはアンホジアセテートである、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記腐食防止剤の前記両性界面活性剤が、約0.025〜約10質量%、あるいは約0.25〜約5質量%の量で存在し、それぞれ前記アルカンスルホン酸、前記界面活性剤、及び前記両性界面活性剤が組み合わされた100質量%を基準とする、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 更に水を含む、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記水が100質量部の前記組成物を基準として少なくとも75質量部の量で存在する、請求項10に記載の組成物。
- スケールが炭酸カルシウムを含む、請求項1から11までのいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 表面が金属を含む、請求項1から12までのいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- システムが熱伝達システムである、請求項1から13までのいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- システムの表面上のスケールの堆積を溶解及び/又は抑制するための方法であって、
前記方法は、
i)アルカンスルホン酸を含む酸性成分;
ii)界面活性剤を含む湿潤剤;及び
iii)両性界面活性剤を含む腐食防止剤;
を含む組成物と、システムの表面とを接触させる工程を含み、
その際、アルカンスルホン酸が、少なくとも約50質量パーセント(質量%)の量で存在し、界面活性剤が約0.1質量%〜約30質量%の量で存在し、且つ両性界面活性剤が約0.025質量%〜約20質量%の量で存在し、それぞれアルカンスルホン酸、界面活性剤、及び両性界面活性剤が組み合わされた100質量%を基準とする、前記方法。 - 前記組成物が更に水を含む、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 水が100質量部の組成物を基準として少なくとも75質量部の量で存在する、請求項16に記載の方法。
- スケールが炭酸カルシウムを含む、請求項15から17までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 表面が金属を含む、請求項15から18までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- システムが熱伝達システムである、請求項15から19までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
