Description
本発明によれば、少なくとも1つの界面活性剤と、少なくとも1つのキレート剤と、水とを含み、少なくとも1つの界面活性剤がアルキルポリグリコシドであり、少なくとも1つのキレート剤がアミノポリカルボン酸である、5〜8の範囲のpHを有する脱錆剤組成物が提供される。好ましくは、第2のキレート剤が提供され得る。第2のキレート剤は、別のアミノポリカルボン酸、ホスホネート系キレート剤、またはグリコール酸などの代替のキレート剤であり得る。
本発明の脱錆剤組成物では、キレート剤のうち少なくとも1つがアミノポリカルボン酸である。アミノポリカルボン酸は、生分解性のキレート剤である。この生分解性の配位子は、金属イオンと相互作用可能な電子対を有する1つの塩基性窒素原子または2つの原子と、酸素を通じて金属イオンを配位可能な酸性のカルボン酸基とを含有する。これらのキレート剤の生分解性の質は、従来の物理化学的および生物学的な処理方法を通じた排水処理および精製に対してよりよく耐えられるため、従来のキレート剤に対する大きな前進となっている。環境保護問題がいっそう顕著になるにつれて、キレート剤に関する法制がいっそう厳しくなっている。
脱錆剤組成物の表面洗浄特性を高めるために、この組成物はさらにアルキルポリグリコシドを含む。アルキルポリグリコシド(APG)および(グルコース由来の)アルキルポリグルコシドは、家庭および産業用途で一般的に用いられる非イオン性界面活性剤のクラスである。市販で入手可能なアルキルグルコシドの一例は、水溶液で供給されているGlucopon(登録商標)215である。アルキルグルコシドは苛性溶液および塩溶液中で安定性である。アルキルグルコシドはすぐれた濡れおよび分散の特性を有し、このことから硬質面の洗浄に理想的である。アルキルグルコシドは、高濃度の界面活性剤溶液で秀逸な可溶特性を示す。他の界面活性剤と互換性があるため、濃縮された界面活性剤系中でかつ塩およびアルカリの存在下でカップリング剤として使用することができる。アルキルポリグリコシドは転相温度を有しないため、広い温度範囲にわたって使用することができる。
溶媒を脱錆剤配合物に添加してもよい。溶媒は、金属部分の表面上に存在し得るオイル、グリース、滑沢剤および他の不純物を溶解するために使用する。溶媒は水に追加して使用し、好ましくは有機溶媒である。
キレート剤、溶媒および界面活性剤に加えて、緩衝剤などの他の構成成分を脱錆剤組成物に含めることができる。緩衝剤は本質的には中和剤であり、溶液のpHを、中性であるようにまたは可能な限り中性に近づくように維持するために、使用する。
当業者であれば、脱錆剤組成物の組成を所望の要件に応じて適合させることが可能であることを認識するであろう。例えば、2つのキレート剤を、1つの界面活性剤、1つの緩衝剤、1つの塩(第一鉄イオン源の提供用)および溶媒と組み合わせることができる。あるいは、3つのキレート剤を組み合わせて、2つの緩衝剤でバランスをとり、1つの界面活性剤および1つの溶媒と組み合わせるのが望ましいこともあり得る。
脱錆剤組成物は、金属物体を初めに洗浄して、緩く結合した汚物、オイルおよびグリースを除去してから適用するように設計されている。
洗浄および脱脂を施したスチールパネルQを錆びつかせるために、およそ1か月間、屋外に垂直位置で設置した。
重度に錆で覆われたチェーンを、本発明に従って調製した脱錆剤組成物の溶液に浸漬させた。脱錆剤組成物は水で10重量%に希釈し、キレート剤としてMGDAおよびHEDPを含んでいた。チェーンを溶液中に24時間放置した。
実験3では、かなり長い期間を経て厚い曇り層を蓄積し黒変していた銅の小板を使用した。本発明に従って調製し、キレート剤の1つとしてMGDAを含む脱錆剤組成物の溶液に、曇った銅の小片を部分的に漬けた。使用した脱錆剤組成物は表1の配合物1と同様であり、最大で脱錆剤1部に対し水25部の比で希釈した。
本発明に従って調製した脱錆剤組成物の溶液に、曇った銅管の断片をほとんど完全に浸漬させた。この脱錆剤組成物はキレート剤としてMGDAを含有した。浸漬前には、銅管は中程度の曇りの層で覆われ、濁った外観を有していた。
本発明に従って調製した脱錆剤組成物の溶液に、黄銅パイプの曇った断片を部分的に接触させた。この脱錆剤組成物はキレート剤としてMGDAを含んでいたが、本発明に従って調製した他の組成物も同様の結果をもたらす。この黄銅パイプは浸漬前には曇りの厚い層で覆われ、暗色の濁った外観を有していた。
脱錆剤組成物の10%溶液中に鉄パイプおよび鉄棒の曇った断片を室温にて部分的に浸漬した。部分的に浸漬した断片を脱錆剤組成物中で終夜放置した。翌朝、これらの小片を脱錆剤溶液から取り出した。鉄棒(直径がより小さい)を冷水ですすいで風乾し、一方パイプは表面から脱錆剤組成物をすすがずに風乾した。次に、パイプおよび棒を屋外に24時間放置した。次に、図8として示されている写真を撮影した。下の表(表2)は、図8と共に用いるための記号一覧を提供する。
生分解性キレート剤を使用することで、脱錆剤組成物および生成される廃棄物の生分解性が向上し、そのため脱錆剤組成物の生態学的影響が低減される。

- 少なくとも1つの界面活性剤と、少なくとも1つのキレート剤と、水と、少なくとも1つの第一鉄イオン源と、少なくとも1つの緩衝剤とを含み、
少なくとも1つの界面活性剤がアルキルポリグリコシドであり、
少なくとも1つのキレート剤がアミノポリカルボン酸であり、アミノポリカルボン酸がメチルグリシン二酢酸(三ナトリウム塩)であり、
第一鉄イオン源が硫酸アンモニウム鉄(II)六水和物であり、
緩衝剤が水酸化カリウムまたは水酸化ナトリウムのうちの1つまたは複数である、
5〜8の範囲のpHを有する脱錆剤組成物。 - アミノポリカルボン酸の濃度が0.5重量%〜40重量%の範囲である、請求項1に記載の脱錆剤組成物。
