Abstract
【解決手段】複数の円筒部材(4d 、4e)が接合された筐体部(4)と、前記筐体部の中心に回転軸(6)をもつ放射状の撹拌翼(8)とを有し、前記撹拌翼の回転により前記筐体部の内壁に薄膜状の溶液を形成し、前記溶液からの溶媒の蒸発を行う遠心式薄膜蒸発器(2)において、フランジ接合構造部分(20)の互いに対向する2つの前記フランジ部の対向面(30a、40a)の間には、第1シール部材及び前記第1シール部材より外側に所定の間隔を空けて備えられる第2シール部材を含む複数のリング状シール部材が設けられており、前記対向面における前記第1シール部材と前記第2シール部材の間に不活性ガスを供給する第1供給経路(70、170)と、前記対向面における前記第2シール部材の外側に不活性ガスを供給する第2供給経路(80、180)と、が設けられている。

複数の円筒部材が接合された筐体部と、前記筐体部の中心に回転軸をもつ放射状の撹拌翼とを有し、前記撹拌翼の回転により前記筐体部の内壁に薄膜状の溶液を形成し、前記溶液からの溶媒の蒸発を行う遠心式薄膜蒸発器において、
前記円筒部材は、少なくとも一方の端部にフランジ部を有し、複数の前記円筒部材は、互いに対向する2つの前記フランジ部が組み合わせられたフランジ接合構造部分を介して互いに接合されており、
前記フランジ接合構造部分の互いに対向する2つの前記フランジ部の対向面の間には、第1シール部材及び前記第1シール部材より外周側に所定の間隔を空けて備えられる第2シール部材を含む複数のリング状シール部材が設けられており、
前記対向面における前記第1シール部材と前記第2シール部材の間に不活性ガスを供給する第1供給経路と、前記対向面における前記第2シール部材の外周側に不活性ガスを供給する第2供給経路と、が設けられていることを特徴とする。
脂環構造含有単量体を重合触媒の存在下において溶媒中で重合し、必要に応じて水素添加して脂環構造含有重合体を含む溶液を得る工程と、
前記筐体部の内部を減圧する工程と、
前記第1供給経路及び第2供給経路に不活性ガスを供給する工程と、
前記筐体部の内部に前記溶液を供給すると伴に、前記撹拌翼を回転させて、前記溶液からの前記溶媒の蒸発を行う工程と、を含む。
本発明の製造方法は、脂環構造含有単量体を重合触媒の存在下において溶媒中で重合し、必要に応じて水素添加して脂環構造含有重合体を含む溶液を得る工程と、得られた溶液からの溶媒の蒸発を行う遠心式薄膜蒸発器2を用いて、脂環構造含有重合体を含む溶液から重合体を回収する工程を含む。
図1は、重合体を回収する工程で用いる遠心式薄膜蒸発器2の概略断面図である。遠心式薄膜蒸発器2は、円筒状の筐体部4と、筐体部4の中心に回転軸6をもつ放射状の撹拌翼8とを備え、撹拌翼8の回転により筐体部4の内壁に薄膜状の溶液を形成し、該溶液から溶媒の蒸発を行う。
なお、対向面40aには、対向面40aに形成された第1フランジ内経路72の開口部と、対向面40aに形成された第1排出経路74の開口部とを経由するように、後述する第1周方向溝176と同様な、周方向Cに連続する所定の深さの周方向溝を形成してもよい。
上述した遠心式薄膜蒸発器2に供給される脂環構造含有重合体を含む溶液は、脂環構造含有単量体を重合触媒の存在下に溶媒中で重合し、必要に応じて水素添加して得られるものである。脂環構造含有単量体は、分子構造中に脂環式構造を有するものであり、たとえば、ノルボルネン系単量体、単環の環状オレフィン系単量体、環状共役ジエン系単量体、ビニル脂環式炭化水素系単量体などが挙げられるが、得られる重合体の透明性、耐熱性などの観点から、好ましくはノルボルネン系単量体である。

Claims (7)
- 複数の円筒部材が接合された筐体部と、前記筐体部の中心に回転軸をもつ放射状の撹拌翼とを有し、前記撹拌翼の回転により前記筐体部の内壁に薄膜状の溶液を形成し、前記溶液からの溶媒の蒸発を行う遠心式薄膜蒸発器において、
前記円筒部材は、少なくとも一方の端部にフランジ部を有し、複数の前記円筒部材は、互いに対向する2つの前記フランジ部が組み合わせられたフランジ接合構造部分を介して互いに接合されており、
前記フランジ接合構造部分の互いに対向する2つの前記フランジ部の対向面の間には、第1シール部材及び前記第1シール部材より外側に所定の間隔を空けて備えられる第2シール部材を含む複数のリング状シール部材が設けられており、
前記対向面における前記第1シール部材と前記第2シール部材の間に不活性ガスを供給する第1供給経路と、前記対向面における前記第2シール部材の外側に不活性ガスを供給する第2供給経路と、が設けられていることを特徴とする遠心式薄膜蒸発器。 - 前記第1シール部材及び前記第2シール部材は、渦巻き形ガスケットである請求項1に記載の遠心式薄膜蒸発器。
- 互いに対向する2つの前記フランジ部の前記対向面のうち一方には、他方の前記対向面に接触する凸面部と、前記凸面部の内側に形成され他方の前記対向面との間に前記第1シール部材及び前記第2シール部材を挟む凹面部とが形成されている請求項1又は請求項2に記載の遠心式薄膜蒸発器。
- 互いに対向する2つの前記フランジ部の前記対向面のうち一方には、前記第1シール部材を収容する第1溝部及び前記第1溝部より外側に所定の間隔を空けて配置され前記第2シール部材を収容する第2溝部が形成されている請求項1又は請求項2に記載の遠心式薄膜蒸発器。
- 前記第1供給経路は、前記フランジ接合構造部分の互いに対向する2つの前記フランジ部のうち一方又は他方の内部を通過して、前記第1シール部材と前記第2シール部材との間に開口するフランジ内経路を有する請求項3又は請求項4に記載の遠心式薄膜蒸発器。
- 前記第2供給経路は、前記フランジ接合構造部分の互いに対向する2つの前記フランジ部の対向面を外側から取り囲む外周経路を有することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5までのいずれかに記載の遠心式薄膜蒸発器。
- 請求項1から請求項6までのいずれかに記載の遠心式薄膜蒸発器を用いる光学材料用脂環構造含有重合体の製造方法であって、
脂環構造含有単量体を重合触媒の存在下において溶媒中で重合し、必要に応じて水素添加して脂環構造含有重合体を含む溶液を得る工程と、
前記筐体部の内部を減圧する工程と、
前記第1供給経路及び第2供給経路に不活性ガスを供給する工程と、
前記筐体部の内部に前記溶液を供給すると伴に、前記撹拌翼を回転させて、前記溶液からの前記溶媒の蒸発を行う工程と、
を含む光学材料用脂環構造含有重合体の製造方法。
