Abstract
【解決手段】燃料タンク1の部品溶着装置において、部品溶着装置20は、合成樹脂製部品15又は燃料タンク1に当接して溶着座面12を溶融する熱板21と、熱板21又は合成樹脂製部品15の周囲に複数のストッパ部材30を設ける。熱板21若しくは燃料タンク1を互いに当接するように移動した後に、熱板21が燃料タンク1又は合成樹脂製部品15に当接して、燃料タンク1又は合成樹脂製部品15の表面を所定の寸法溶融したときに、ストッパ部材30が熱板21による燃料タンク1又は合成樹脂部材15の溶融を止め、合成樹脂製部品15を燃料タンク1に溶着する。

Description
このような燃料タンクは、従来、金属製のものが用いられていたが、近年車両の軽量化や、錆が発生しないこと、所望の形状に成形しやすいことなどによって熱可塑性樹脂製のものが用いられるようになってきた。
このとき、熱板121は、一定荷重で一定時間、溶着面112に押圧されて、溶着面112を溶融している。また、ニップル115の下端の溶着面116を溶融する場合も同様に、一定荷重で一定時間、溶着面116に押圧されて、溶融されている。
部品溶着装置は、合成樹脂製部品又は燃料タンクに当接して溶着座面を溶融する熱板と、熱板又は合成樹脂製部品の周囲に複数のストッパ部材を設け、
熱板若しくは燃料タンクを互いに当接するように移動した後に、又は、熱板若しくは合成樹脂製部品を互いに当接するように移動した後に、熱板が燃料タンク又は合成樹脂製部品に当接して、燃料タンク又は合成樹脂製部品の表面を所定の寸法溶融したときに、ストッパ部材が熱板による燃料タンク又は合成樹脂部材の溶融を止め、合成樹脂製部品を燃料タンクに溶着することを特徴とする燃料タンクの部品溶着装置である。
図1は本発明のニップル取付構造が使用される燃料タンク1の断面図であり、図2〜図6は、部品溶着装置の図である。
図1に示すように、射出成形で成形された場合は、燃料タンク1は、分割して成形されたアッパーシェル部2とロアシェル部3から構成される。アッパーシェル部2とロアシェル部3は、それぞれ、射出成形で形成される内側樹脂層と、内側樹脂層の成形後に、外側に接着又は溶着される耐燃料透過性多層樹脂シートから構成される外側シート層の2層から形成される。なお、アッパーシェル部2とロアシェル部3は、耐燃料透過性の合成樹脂の1層で形成しても良い。
燃料タンク1の分割はアッパーシェル部2とロアシェル部3の2個ばかりでなく3個以上に分割することも可能である。また、燃料タンク1は、ブロー成形でアッパーシェル部2とロアシェル部3を一体的に同時に成形することもできる。
本発明をアッパーシェル部外壁2bに取付けられるインレットホースやブリーザポート取付部7に使用される溶着部品15であるニップル9と、そのニップル9を取付けるためにアッパーシェル部2に形成されたニップル取付部であるタンク開口部10を例に取り説明する。
なお、アッパーシェル部外壁2bの上面には、燃料移送用ホース等の各種のホースを保持するホースクランプ(図示せず)を設けてもよい。
ブロー成形の場合には、多層パリソンを使用することができる。いずれの場合においても、ニップル9等の合成樹脂製部品は、燃料タンク1と溶着するためには、燃料タンク1と溶着可能な同種類の材料を使用することが必要である。
図3に示すように、タンク側熱板21を囲むように、ストッパ部材30が取付板22に取付られている。本実施の形態では、ストッパ部材30は3本取付けられているが、タンク開口部10の大きさにより3本以上取付けることができる。ストッパ部材30を3本以上取付けると、ストッパ部材30の先端を結ぶ線が点や線ではなく、平面となり、タンク開口部10の開口部溶着座面12がタンク側熱板21の表面に対してどのような方向に傾いても、その傾きを検出することができる。
ストッパ部材30の後端(図4における上端)には、スイッチ31が取付けられている。スイッチ31と隙間を隔てて下方にはスイッチ押しボルト33が設けられている。スイッチ31とスイッチ押しボルト33は、ボディケース32の中に収容されている。スイッチ押しボルト33は、ボディケース32の中で上下方向に摺動可能に取付けられている。
図2に示すように、ストッパピン36の先端は、アッパーシェル部外壁2bに当接するように取付けられる。又は、後述する図5に示すように、定寸ストッパ44に当接するように取付けられる。
部品側溶着装置40においては、部品側熱板41は、取付台45に取付けられて、部品側熱板41の溶融面は、溶着部品15が保持されている上方(図5における上方)を向いている。部品側熱板41の周囲には定寸ストッパ44が設けられている。
部品保持チャック43とストッパ部材30は全体として、部品側熱板41に対して近接したり、離脱したりすることができる。
図2に示すように、タンク側溶着装置20のタンク側熱板21を燃料タンク1のタンク開口部10の開口部溶着座面12に近接するように移動させ、更に、タンク側熱板21を開口部溶着座面12に押圧する。
ストッパ部材30のストッパピン36がアッパーシェル部外壁2bの上面と所定の隙間を有している。
このとき、アッパーシェル部外壁2bに接触する全てのストッパ部材30のスイッチが働くと、開口部溶着座面12の全面が所定の量(溶融が必要な厚さ)だけ、溶融されることができる。
開口部溶着座面12の全面に亘り、溶融量が確実に制御することができるため、溶着部品15の溶着品質を確保し向上させることができる。
このとき、開口部溶着座面12と部品溶着座面16の両方を溶融して、溶着部品15を溶着することもできる。
図5に示すように、溶着部品15を部品保持チャック43で保持する。部品溶着座面16は、部品側熱板41と対向するように、下方を向いている。
このとき、ストッパ部材30のストッパピン36は、定寸ストッパ44に先端に近接する。本実施の形態では、ストッパピン36と定寸ストッパ44は、それぞれ3本ずつ使用されるが、溶着部品15の大きさに応じて、3本以上使用することができる。
このとき、定寸ストッパ44に接触する全てのストッパ部材30のスイッチ31が働くと、部品溶着座面16の全面が所定の量(溶融が必要な厚さ)だけ、溶融されることができる。
また、ストッパ部材30の固定・位置調整ナット34を調整することによっても、部品側熱板41が部品溶着座面16を溶融する量を調整することができる。
溶着部品15の部品溶着座面16を開口部溶着座面12に押圧にするときに、部品溶着座面16と開口部溶着座面12が所定の厚さ圧着すると、ストッパピン36が定寸ストッパ44に先端に当接して、スプリング35を押してスイッチ押しボルト33がスイッチ31と接触して、スイッチ31が働く。
このとき、定寸ストッパ44に接触する全てのストッパ部材30のスイッチ31が働くと、部品溶着座面16の全面が所定の量(圧着が必要な厚さ)だけ、圧着されることができる。
また、ストッパ部材30の固定・位置調整ナット34を調整することによっても、部品側熱板41が部品溶着座面16を溶融する量を調整することができる。
部品溶着座面16と開口部溶着座面12の全面に亘り、溶融量と圧着量を確実に制御することができるため、溶着部品15の溶着品質を確保し向上させることができる。
このとき、開口部溶着座面12と部品溶着座面16の両方を溶融して、溶着部品15を溶着することもできる。

- 合成樹脂製の燃料タンクに合成樹脂製部品を溶着する燃料タンクの部品溶着装置において、
該部品溶着装置は、上記合成樹脂製部品又は上記燃料タンクに当接して溶着座面を溶融する熱板と、該熱板又は上記合成樹脂製部品の周囲に複数のストッパ部材を設け、
上記熱板若しくは上記燃料タンクを互いに当接するように移動した後に、又は、上記熱板若しくは上記合成樹脂製部品を互いに当接するように移動した後に、上記熱板が上記燃料タンク又は上記合成樹脂製部品に当接して、上記燃料タンク又は上記合成樹脂製部品の表面を所定の寸法溶融したときに、上記ストッパ部材が上記熱板による上記燃料タンク又は上記合成樹脂部材の溶融を止め、上記合成樹脂製部品を上記燃料タンクに溶着することを特徴とする燃料タンクの部品溶着装置。 - 上記燃料タンク又は上記合成樹脂製部品の表面を所定寸法溶融したのちに、上記燃料タンクに上記合成樹脂製部品を圧着し、相互に所定寸法圧着したときに、上記ストッパ部材が圧着を止める請求項1に記載の燃料タンクの部品溶着装置。
- 上記ストッパ部材は、上記熱板が上記合成樹脂製部品若しくは上記燃料タンクの表面を所定寸法溶融したとき、又は上記燃料タンクに上記合成樹脂製部品の表面を所定寸法圧着したときに、上記ストッパ部材の先端のストッパピンが上記燃料タンク又は上記熱板の周囲に取付けられた定寸ストッパに当接して、上記ストッパピンが所定寸法後退して、上記熱板又は上記合成樹脂製部品の移動を止めるスイッチが働く請求項1又は請求項2に記載の燃料タンクの部品溶着装置。
- 複数の上記ストッパ部材の全てのスイッチが働いたときに、上記熱板又は上記合成樹脂製部品の移動を止める請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の燃料タンクの部品溶着装置。
- 上記ストッパ部材は、上記熱板又は上記合成樹脂製部品の周囲に、少なくとも3本取付けられた請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の燃料タンクの部品溶着装置。
- 上記ストッパ部材は、先端のストッパピンの位置をネジで調整可能な請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の燃料タンクの部品溶着装置。
- 上記ストッパ部材の先端のストッパピンに当接する定寸ストッパの先端の位置をネジで調整可能な請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の燃料タンクの部品溶着装置。
- 上記熱板は、アルミニウム又は鉄製である請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の燃料タンクの部品溶着装置。
