Abstract
【解決手段】システム100は、入出力装置130の表面とユーザの皮膚との間の相対的な動きを検出するように構成されたセンサ150と、表面に触覚効果を生成するように構成された触覚出力装置160と、表面とユーザの皮膚との間の検出された動きを示す入力信号をセンサから受信し、通知をユーザに送信すべきかを判定し、通知をユーザに送信すべきであると判定した場合には、通知に基づいて、触覚効果を生成させるべく触覚出力装置に出力信号を出力するように構成されたプロセッサ110とを備える。

Description
本出願は、2013年12月31日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/922,600号からの優先権の利益を請求するものであり、この出願の全内容が引用により本明細書に組み入れられる。
Claims (17)
- 表面とユーザの皮膚との間の相対的な動きを検出するように構成されたセンサと、
前記表面に触覚効果を生成するように構成された触覚出力装置と、
前記表面と前記ユーザの前記皮膚との間の検出された前記動きを示す入力信号を前記センサから受信し、通知を前記ユーザに送信すべきかを判定し、前記通知を前記ユーザに送信すべきであると判定された場合には、前記通知に基づいて、前記触覚効果を生成させるべく出力信号を前記触覚出力装置に出力するように構成されたプロセッサと、を備えるシステム。 - 前記触覚出力装置は、静電摩擦出力装置を含み、
前記触覚効果は、前記表面の摩擦の変化である、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記触覚効果は、超音波振動を含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記触覚出力装置は、前記触覚効果を提供するべく前記表面を変形させるように構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記表面は、コンピュータの筐体上に設けられる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記通知は、電池残量が少ないことを警告する通知を含む、請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 前記通知は、前記ユーザの受信箱内の未読メッセージの数を示す情報を提供する、請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 前記表面及び前記触覚出力装置は、装着可能装置の一部である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記装着可能装置は、腕時計、ブレスレット、ネックレス及び眼鏡からなる群から選択される、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記通知は、時間、優先順位及び量からなる群から選択される少なくとも一つのパラメータに基づく、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 表面とユーザの皮膚との間の動きを検出する段階と、
通知を前記ユーザに送信すべきかを判定する段階と、
前記通知を前記ユーザに送信すべきと判定された場合に、前記表面に触覚効果を生成する段階と、を備える方法。 - 前記触覚効果を生成する段階は、前記表面の摩擦を変化させることを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記触覚効果は、超音波振動を含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記触覚効果を生成する段階は、前記表面を変形させることを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記通知は、時間、優先順位及び量からなる群から選択される少なくとも一つのパラメータに基づく、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記表面は、装着可能装置の一部である、請求項11記載の方法。
- 前記装着可能装置は、腕時計、ブレスレット、ネックレス及び眼鏡からなる群から選択される、請求項16に記載の方法。
