粘度曲線は凝集プロトタイプ及び市販のデンプンベース及びキサンタンガムベースの増粘剤に関して作製した。図2は例1(キサンタンガム:ワキシーポテト:マルトデキストリン17.3:19.3:63.4)及び2つの市販増粘剤の濃度の関数としての粘度を示す。図2において分かるとおり、凝集プロトタイプは濃度の増加にともなう、粘度の変化がより小さいことを示し、誤用条件下で、より大きな用量融通性があることを示唆し、すなわち、過剰投与又は過少投与が起こったときに、望ましい粘度でなくなる可能性が低いことを示唆している。凝集組成物の粒子サイズの分布を表2に示す。凝集組成物のバルク密度は0.25〜0.30g/cm3であった。
