Abstract
Description
(i)繊維構造物を金型に挿入して、繊維構造物の周囲にポリマー前駆体化合物を注入するか、繊維構造物をポリマー前駆体化合物で飽和させる工程(ただし、ポリマー前駆体化合物の粘度は高くて2000mPasである)と、
(ii)該ポリマー前駆体化合物を凝固させるか、必要なら部分的に該ポリマー前駆体化合物を重合させて半加工生成物を得る工程とからなる方法により達成される。
(a)金型に繊維構造物を挿入し、この繊維構造物の周囲にポリマー前駆体化合物を注入するか、繊維構造物をポリマー前駆体化合物で飽和させ、この飽和繊維構造物を金型に挿入する(なお、このポリマー前駆体化合物の粘度は、高くて2000mPasである)、あるいは半加工生成物を金型に挿入する工程と、
(b)このポリマー前駆体化合物を重合してポリマーを与え、成形物を製造する工程と、
(c)少なくとも成形物が実質的に寸法安定となる程度にまで重合プロセスが進行すると、直ちにこの成形物を金型から除く工程とからなる繊維強化ポリマー製の成形物の製造方法により達成されることが好ましい。
Claims (17)
- 繊維強化ポリマー製成形物製造用の半加工生成物の製造方法であって、
(i)繊維構造物を金型に挿入して、繊維構造物の周囲にポリマー前駆体化合物を注入するか、繊維構造物をポリマー前駆体化合物で飽和させる工程(ただし、ポリマー前駆体化合物の粘度は高くて2000mPasである)と、
(ii)該ポリマー前駆体化合物を凝固させるか、あるいは部分的に該ポリマー前駆体化合物を重合させて、半加工生成物を得る工程と
からなる方法。 - 繊維強化ポリマー製の成形物の製造方法であって、請求項1により製造される半加工生成物のポリマー前駆体化合物が、凝固プロセスまたは部分的な重合プロセスの後に完全に反応させられて、ポリマーを与える方法。
- (a)金型に繊維構造物を挿入し、繊維構造物の周囲にポリマー前駆体化合物を注入するか、繊維構造物をポリマー前駆体化合物で飽和させ、この飽和繊維構造物を金型に挿入する(なお、このポリマー前駆体化合物の粘度は、高くて2000mPasである)、あるいは半加工生成物を金型に挿入する工程と、
(b)このポリマー前駆体化合物を重合してポリマーを与え、成形物を製造する工程と、
(c)少なくとも成形物が実質的に寸法安定となる程度にまで重合プロセスが進行すると、直ちにこの成形物を金型から除く工程と
を含む繊維強化ポリマー製の成形物の製造方法。 - 上記繊維構造物が、織布、編布、レイドスクリム、または一方向もしくは二方向の長繊維製繊維構造物であるか、不整列の繊維を含む請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 繊維構造物のために使われる繊維が、炭素繊維、ガラス繊維、アラミド繊維、金属繊維、ポリマー繊維、チタン酸カリウム繊維、ホウ素繊維、バサルト繊維、または鉱物繊維を含む請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 上記繊維構造物が、スチールコード、鋼線、またはスチール繊維を含む請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 上記繊維構造物が、スチールコード、鋼線もしくはスチール繊維の織布または網布、及び炭素繊維またはガラス製繊維である請求項6に記載の方法。
- 上記ポリマー前駆体化合物が、カプロラクタム、ラウロラクタム、シクロブチレンテレフタレート、または環状ポリブチレンテレフタレートを含む請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 上記ポリマー前駆体化合物が、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリカーボネート、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、ポリエーテルケトン、ポリエーテルスルフォン、ポリフェニレンスルフイド、ポリエチレンナフタレート、ポリブチレンナフタレート、またはポリアミドを製造するためのモノマーまたはオリゴマーを含む請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 上記ポリマー前駆体化合物がさらに、コポリマー製造用のコモノマー、硬化剤、架橋剤、可塑剤、触媒、衝撃改質剤、接着促進剤、充填剤、離型剤、他のポリマーとのブレンド、安定剤、または上記成分の二つ以上の混合物を含む請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 上記成形物が完全重合後に金型から取り外される請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(a)中の挿入プロセスと注入プロセスの前に上記繊維構造物をポリマー前駆体化合物で飽和させる請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 繊維構造物の形状と性質を変更して及び/又はポリマー前駆体化合物を供給する方法を変更して繊維含量または組合せに局部的な差を作り出す請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(a)の注入プロセスまたは飽和プロセスの前に上記繊維構造物がプライマーで前処理される請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 上記飽和プロセスの後で、ポリマー前駆体化合物で飽和した繊維構造物の挿入の前に、上記ポリマー前駆体化合物中に含まれるモノマーが少なくともある程度重合する請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 上記繊維強化ポリマー製成形物が、自動車内の構造部品、バルクヘッド、フロアアセンブリ、バッテリーホルダー、横衝撃部材、バンパーシステム、構造インサート、カラム強化材、側壁、ホイール周り構造材、縦部材または縦方向上部構造材である請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 上記繊維強化ポリマー製成形物が、石臼用ハウジングや、保護ケージまたは粉砕機もしくはフライス盤用のハウジング、または携帯機器のハウジングである請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
