Claims (8)
- 通常の動作時に、蒸発した冷媒水を有したカソード排出物を供給する燃料電池スタック(50)と、
冷媒流体流路(13,24c,26)と、該冷媒流体流路と熱伝導し、前記カソード排出物を運ぶように構成された凝縮流体流れ通路(18,24,24a,60)とを有した少なくとも1つのフィン型凝縮器(12,12a,23,23a,23b,49)であって、プレート(16,17)の間に配置された波形フィン(14,15)のセットを有してなるプレート状フィン型熱交換器(12,12a)またはフィン(25,25a)を貫通するチューブ(24,24a,24c)を有してなるフィン付チューブ型熱交換器(23,23a,23b)を備えた少なくとも1つのフィン型凝縮器(12,12a,23,23a,23b,49)と、
を備え、
前記少なくとも1つのフィン型凝縮器は、a)凝縮流体流れ通路(18)の流体出口端部にある前記少なくとも1つのフィン型凝縮器の端部面(31)の大部分であって、前記少なくとも1つのフィン型凝縮器の前記流体出口端部から水を取り除くように構成された実質的に透水性のウィック(32)と連通し、かつ親水性である端部面(31)の大部分によって、b)プレート状フィン型凝縮器に関連したプレートを越えて延びる前記プレート状フィン型凝縮器の少なくとも数個の波形フィン(14)によって、c)フィン(25)の両側において該フィン(25)を越えて延びるフィン付チューブ型凝縮器の少なくとも数個のフィン(25a)によって、またはd)チューブ端部(28)の下方にぶら下がった部分が取り除かれた、前記フィン(25)を越えて延びるフィン付チューブ型凝縮器の少なくとも数個のチューブ(24,24a)によって、前記端部面(31)は、流体流れが少ないときに凝縮物の溜まり防止するように構成されることを特徴とする燃料電池装置。 - 前記凝縮流体流れ通路(18)の前記流体出口端部の前記端部面(31)は、少なくとも1つの凝縮器(49)の前記流体出口端部から水を取り除くように構成された実質的に透水性のウィック(32)と連通し、かつ親水性であり、
少なくとも数個の前記凝縮流体流れ通路が、前記少なくとも1つの凝縮器の親水性端部面(31)と連通し、かつ親水性であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池装置。 - 前記凝縮流体流れ通路(18)の前記流体出口端部の前記端部面(31)は、少なくとも1つの凝縮器(49)の前記流体出口端部から水を取り除くように構成された実質的に透水性のウィック(32)と連通し、かつ親水性であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池装置。
- 少なくとも1つの凝縮器(49)の前記端部面(31)は、前記燃料電池スタック(50)が地球の重力に対し前記燃料電池スタック(50)の通常の動作姿勢にあるときの前記燃料電池スタック(50)に対し0〜約20度だけ傾斜していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池装置。
- 少なくとも1つの凝縮器(49)の前記端部面(31)は、約17度だけ傾斜していることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の燃料電池装置。
- 少なくとも1つの凝縮器(23,23a)は、フィン付チューブ型凝縮器であり、チューブ(24,24a)は、該チューブ(24,24a)の軸に対し傾斜した端部面(28,28a)を備え、前記端部面(28,28a)における前記チューブ(24,24a)の開口部が、下方に向いていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池装置。
- 少なくとも1つの凝縮器(12,23,23b)が、前記燃料電池スタック(50)が地球の重力に対し前記燃料電池スタック(50)の通常の動作姿勢にあるときに、実質的に垂直に前記カソード排出物を運ぶように、前記燃料電池スタック(50)に対し向けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの凝縮器が、前記燃料電池スタックが地球の重力に対し前記燃料電池スタックの通常の動作姿勢にあるときに、実質的に水平に前記カソード排出物を運ぶように、前記燃料電池スタックに対し向けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池装置。
