Claims (2)

  1. 標的微生物を検出するための培養デバイスであって、
    前記標的微生物の増殖を促進するための栄養素と、セフスロジン、ナリジクス酸、ストレプトマイシン、メチシリン及び胆汁酸塩を含む複数の選択剤とを含む選択的増殖培地と、
    第1の識別指示薬系と、
    ゲル化剤と、
    非識別指示薬系と、を含む、培養デバイス。
  2. サルモネラ微生物を検出する方法であって、
    液体試料、請求項に記載の培養デバイス、及び第3の識別指示薬系を提供することと、
    接種された培養デバイスを形成するために、前記培養デバイス中で、規定の体積の前記試料を、前記選択的増殖培地;前記第1の指示薬系;存在する場合、前記非識別指示薬系;存在する場合、前記第2の指示薬系;及び前記ゲル化剤と接触させることと、
    第1の期間にわたって、前記接種された培養デバイスをインキュベートすることと、
    前記標的微生物の前記試料中の存在可能性の指示を検出するために、接された前記増殖培地を観察することと、
    前記標的微生物の前記存在可能性の指示がある時に、前記第3の識別を水和した前記増殖培地と接触させることと、
    前記標的微生物の存在の指示のために、水和した前記増殖培地中の前記第3の識別指示薬系を観察することと、を含む、方法。
