図1は、一実施の形態における電池ブロック50の全体的構成を説明するための分解斜視図である。上述したように、電池ブロック50が外装ケースに収納されることによって、電池パックが構成される。複数の電池セル1例えば円筒形状のリチウムイオン二次電池が使用される。一例として50個の電池セル1がセルホルダ2Lおよび2Rによって保持される。電池セル1の一端には正極端子部が形成され、電池セル1の他端には負極端子部が形成されている。なお、電池セル1の形状は円筒形状に限られることはなく、角型形状など他の形状でも良く、ニッケル水素電池やニッケルカドミウム電池であっても良い。
。セルホルダ2L、2Rは、樹脂成型品であり、セル収納部3L、3Rおよびベース部4L、 4Rが一体に構成されている。
図6〜図10を参照してセルホルダ2L、2Rに対する接続板6L、6Rの取り付けについて説明する。図6は、接続板を取り付けていない状態のセルホルダ2L、2Rを示す。図3を参照して説明したように、5P10Sの構成では、60本の電池セルから10本の電池セルC1〜C10が抜き取られる。
セルホルダ2L、2Rのそれぞれの外周部には、外部から電池パックに加わる衝撃を緩和するために衝撃緩和リブが設けられている。図11を参照して衝撃緩和リブについて説明する。衝撃緩和リブ21は、図11Aに示すように、セルホルダ2L、2Rの外周壁22とセル収納部3との間にセルホルダ2L、2Rと一体に成型されている。すなわち、外周壁22が連結部23aによってコ字状または逆コ字状(すなわち、U形)の湾曲部24と連結され、湾曲部24が連結部23bによってセル収納部3と連結される。
上述した衝撃緩和リブ21が一体に成型されるセルホルダについて説明する。図12は、セルホルダ2Rの外面を示す斜視図であり、図13は、セルホルダ2Rの内面を示す斜視図である。セルホルダ2Rの内面には、60本の電池セル1をそれぞれ収納するための60個のセル収納部3Rがベース部4R上に設けられている。図13では、煩雑となることを避けるために、一つのセル収納部に対して参照符号3Rが付されている。セルホルダ2Rの外面には、接続板6Rをスナップフィットによって固定するための凸部12Rが設けられている。さらに、分割された接続板6Rの取り付け位置を規定し、接続板同士を絶縁するためのリブが形成されている。さらに、接続板6Rを支持するボスが形成されている。

前記セル支持体は、前記複数の電池セルを収納する電池セル収納部と前記電池セル収納部を支持するベース部と衝撃緩和リブとが一体に形成され、
前記衝撃緩和リブは、前記ベース部の外周部と、前記電池セル収納部の外面との間に形成され、衝撃が加わる方向に対して変形可能な形状を有する電池パック。

前記衝撃緩和リブは、弾性変形可能とされ、前記外周部に衝撃が加わる時に、収縮するものである(1)に記載の電池パック。

前記衝撃緩和リブは、コ字状または逆コ字状の湾曲部を有する(1)(2)の何れかに記載の電池パック。

前記衝撃緩和リブは、半円状の湾曲部を有する(1)(2)の何れかに記載の電池パック。

前記電池セルは、円筒状の電池セルであり、
前記セル支持体が複数の円筒状のセル収納部を有する(1)(2)(3)(4)の何れかに記載の電池パック。

一の前記セル収納部の周面と他の前記セル収納部の周面との間の位置と、前記外周部との間に、前記衝撃緩和リブが形成される(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)の何れかに記載の電池パック。

前記衝撃緩和リブは、衝撃によって変形し、対向する2箇所が接触することによって、変形を止めるようになされた(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)の何れかに記載の電池パック。

前記外周部に傾斜形状が形成され、前記傾斜形状と前記セル収納部との間に前記衝撃緩和リブが形成される(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)の何れかに記載の電池パック。

前記接続部が板状とされ、前記セル支持体に設けられる凸部によって、前記接続部がスナップフィットで前記セル支持体に取り付けられる(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)(8)の何れかに記載の電池パック。

前記凸部は、前記セル支持体の負極配置領域に形成される(9)に記載の電池パック。

前記セル支持体と前記接続部との間に、接続位置を除いて弾性を有する絶縁材が介在される(9)に記載の電池パック。

前記絶縁材が前記電池セルの正極の接続位置の周辺に配される(9)に記載の電池パック。

(1)に記載の電池パックから電源の供給を受ける電動車両。
(14)
前記電動車両が電動バイク、電動自転車および電動アシスト自転車の何れかである(13)に記載の電動車両。
「応用例としての住宅における蓄電システム」
本開示の電池パックを住宅用の蓄電システムに適用した例について、図21を参照して説明する。例えば住宅101用の蓄電システム100においては、火力発電102a、原子力発電102b、水力発電102c等の集中型電力系統102から電力網109、情報網112、スマートメータ107、パワーハブ108等を介し、電力が蓄電装置103に供給される。これと共に、家庭内発電装置104等の独立電源から電力が蓄電装置103に供給される。蓄電装置103に供給された電力が蓄電される。蓄電装置103を使用して、住宅101で使用する電力が給電される。住宅101に限らずビルに関しても同様の蓄電システムを使用できる。

本開示を車両用の蓄電システムに適用した例について、図22を参照して説明する。図22に、本開示が適用されるシリーズハイブリッドシステムを採用するハイブリッド車両の構成の一例を概略的に示す。シリーズハイブリッドシステムはエンジンで動かす発電機で発電された電力、あるいはそれをバッテリーに一旦貯めておいた電力を用いて、電力駆動力変換装置で走行する車である。
以上、本開示の実施の形態について具体的に説明したが、上述の各実施の形態に限定されるものではなく、本開示の技術的思想に基づく各種の変形が可能である。例えば、上述の実施の形態において挙げた構成、方法、工程、形状、材料および数値などはあくまでも例に過ぎず、必要に応じてこれと異なる構成、方法、工程、形状、材料および数値などを用いても良い。

- 複数の電池セルと、
前記複数の電池セルを保持するセル支持体と、
前記複数の電池セルを接続するための接続部と、
前記複数の電池セルに対する回路を実装するための回路基板とを有し、
前記セル支持体は、前記複数の電池セルを収納する電池セル収納部と前記電池セル収納部を支持するベース部と衝撃緩和リブとが一体に形成され、
前記衝撃緩和リブは、前記ベース部の外周部と、前記電池セル収納部の外面との間に形成され、衝撃が加わる方向に対して変形可能な形状を有する電池パック。 - 前記衝撃緩和リブは、弾性変形可能とされ、前記外周部に衝撃が加わる時に、収縮するものである請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記衝撃緩和リブは、コ字状または逆コ字状の湾曲部を有する請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記衝撃緩和リブは、半円状の湾曲部を有する請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池セルは、円筒状の電池セルであり、

- 前記衝撃緩和リブは、衝撃によって変形し、対向する2箇所が接触することによって、変形を止めるようになされた請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記外周部に傾斜形状が形成され、前記傾斜形状と前記セル収納部との間に前記衝撃緩和リブが形成される請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記接続部が板状とされ、前記セル支持体に設けられる凸部によって、前記接続部がスナップフィットで前記セル支持体に取り付けられる請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記凸部は、前記セル支持体の負極配置領域に形成される請求項9に記載の電池パック。
