LixMo4−yMyO6−zAz (1)
ここで、0≦x≦2、0≦y≦0.5、0≦z≦0.5であり、Mは、+2から+4の酸化数を有する金属カチオンであり、Aは、負の一価または負の二価アニオンである。
理論混合比を満たすIn、MoO3およびMoが、シリカチューブにおいて真空下でシールされた。このチューブは加熱炉において、895°Cの温度で4日間加熱され、合成を実施し、結果として生じる生成物およびヨウ化リチウム(LiI)は、シリカチューブにおいて真空下でシールされ、次いで460°Cの温度で12時間反応され、リチウムモリブデン酸化物を生成した。
カソード活物質がリチウムモリブデン酸化物の代わりにLiCoO2を用いて生成されたことを除いて、実施例1と同様の方法でリチウム二次電池が作られた。
実施例1および比較例1で作られたリチウム二次電池が、2.0から4.2Vで充電および放電され、同時に、その寿命が測定された。その結果が、以下の表1に示される。
実施例1で生成されたリチウムモリブデン酸化物が、X線回折(XRD)にさらされた。
実施例1で得られたリチウムモリブデン酸化物は、460°Cで12時間、LiIと反応され、その反応は連続して繰り返された。このとき、合成された物質におけるLiの含量は、ICP−AES(Perkin−Elmer)を用いて測定された。その結果、Liは、Moに対して1.72以下の比率で置換された。それは、Liの置換量がMoに対して熱力学的に2と計算された場合にLi−O距離が信頼性レベルである2.0Åである、という計算化学から判明した。図3は、この結晶構造を概略的に示す。
実施例1で製造されたコイン電池に対し、カソード活物質の電気的特性は、電気化学的分析器(VSP、Bio−Logic Science Instruments)を用いて評価された。コイン電池は、サイクリック・ボルタンメトリー(CV)を用いて、0から4.0Vで、0.5mV/sのスキャニング速度でテストされた。その結果は、図4に示される。
実施例1で製造されたコイン電池に対し、カソード活物質の電気的特性は、電気化学的分析器(VSP、Bio−Logic Science Instruments)を用いて評価された。コイン電池は、2.0から4.2Vで、充電−放電モードにおいてテストされた。その結果は、図5に示される。
Claims (9)
- 以下の式1で表される化合物から選択された少なくとも1つを含む二次電池のための電極活物質:
LixMo4−yMyO6−zAz (1)
ここで、0≦x≦2、0≦y≦0.5、0≦z≦0.5であり、
Mは、+2から+4の酸化数を有する金属カチオンであり、
Aは、負の一価または負の二価アニオンである。 - 前記電極はカソードである、請求項1に記載の電極活物質。
- xは0≦x≦1を満たす、請求項1に記載の電極活物質。
- Mは、W、Nb、V、Al、Mg、Ti、Co、NiおよびMnから成る群から選択された少なくとも1つの元素である、請求項1に記載の電極活物質。
- Aは、ハロゲン、SおよびNから成る群から選択された少なくとも1つである、請求項1に記載の電極活物質。
- 請求項1に記載の電極活物質が電流コレクタに塗布された電極。
- 請求項6に記載の電極を備えるリチウム二次電池。
- 請求項7に記載のリチウム二次電池を単一電池として備える電極モジュール。
- 請求項8に記載の電極モジュールを備える電力貯蔵デバイス。
