Abstract
1つの例示的用途において、コーティングとして基材に塗布することができ、任意で事前にプライマ若しくはベースコート及び/又はミッドコートでコートされた基材に塗布することができる、ブレンドされたフルオロポリマー組成物。
【解決手段】
1つの実施形態において、該組成物は少なくとも1つの高分子量微量改質ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(TMHPTFE)と少なくとも1つの溶融加工可能なフルオロポリマー(MPF)とのブレンドである。基材に、任意でプライマ若しくはベースコート及び/又はミッドコート上に塗布され、続いて硬化された後、本組成物は、改善された耐摩耗性及び/又は改善された剥離性及び/又は増大した半透明性/透明性及び/又は改善された不浸透性を示すコーティングを形成する。本組成物は、高度の清澄性及び不浸透性を有するフィルムの製造にも使用できる。粉末形態の本組成物は、溶融又はペースト押出により、改善された不浸透性を有する物品を形成できる。

Description
本出願は、米国特許法第119条(e)項の下で2010年4月15日に出願された「FLUOROPOLYMER COATING COMPOSITIONS」と題する米国仮特許出願第61/324,521号に基づく優先権を主張し、その開示全体は参照により本明細書に明示的に援用されている。

Claims (14)
- フルオロポリマー組成物であって、
少なくとも1つの、改質コモノマーによって微量改質された高分子量ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(TMHPTFE)であって、少なくとも500,000の数平均分子量(Mn)及び342℃未満の第1溶融温度(Tm)を有し、前記組成物中の全フルオロポリマーの全固体重量を基準にして1重量%〜99重量%の量で存在する前記少なくとも1つのTMHPTFEと、
前記組成物中の全フルオロポリマーの全固体重量を基準にして1重量%〜99重量%の量で存在し、10g/10分を超えるメルトフローインデックス(MFI)を有する少なくとも1つの溶融加工可能なフルオロポリマー(MPF)
とを含む、フルオロポリマー組成物。 - 前記少なくとも1つのTMHPTFEが、前記改質コモノマーを1重量%未満包含する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記改質コモノマーが、ペルフルオロプロピルビニルエーテル(PPVE)及びペルフルオロメチルビニルエーテル(PMVE)からなる群より選択される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記少なくとも1つのTMHPTFEが342℃未満の第1溶融温度を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記少なくとも1つのMPFがペルフルオロアルコキシ(PFA)、メチルフルオロアルコキシ(MFA)、及びフッ素化エチレンプロピレン(FEP)からなる群より選択される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記少なくとも1つのMPFが312℃未満の第1溶融温度を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記少なくとも1つのTMHPTFE及び前記少なくとも1つのMPFの固体重量の合計を基準にして、前記少なくとも1つのTMHPTFEが75重量%〜98重量%の量で存在し、前記少なくとも1つのMPFが2重量%〜25重量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載のフルオロポリマー組成物。
- 前記少なくとも1つのTMHPTFE及び前記少なくとも1つのMPFが各々水性分散体の形態である、請求項1に記載のフルオロポリマー組成物。
- 前記組成物が500,000未満の数平均分子量(Mn)を有する低分子量ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(LPTFE)を含まない、請求項1に記載のフルオロポリマー組成物
- 前記組成物が充填剤を含まない、請求項1に記載のフルオロポリマー組成物。
- 基材をコーティングする方法であって、
少なくとも1つの、改質コモノマーによって微量改質された高分子量ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(TMHPTFE)であって、少なくとも500,000の数平均分子量(Mn)及び342℃未満の第1溶融温度(Tm)を有し、前記組成物中の全フルオロポリマーの全固体重量を基準にして1重量%〜99重量%の量で存在する前記少なくとも1つのTMHPTFEと、
前記組成物中の全フルオロポリマーの全固体重量を基準にして1重量%〜99重量%の量で存在し、10g/10分を超えるメルトフローインデックス(MFI)を有する少なくとも1つの溶融加工可能なフルオロポリマー(MPF)
とを含む、
フルオロポリマー組成物を基材に塗布する工程を含む、方法。 - 前記塗布工程の後に、組成物を硬化してコーティングを形成する追加工程をさらに含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記塗布工程が、水性分散体の形態のフルオロポリマー組成物を基材に塗布することをさらに含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記塗布工程が、粒子形態のフルオロポリマー組成物を基材に噴霧することをさらに含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
