Claims (2)
- 触媒化された煤フィルターであって、
壁流基材を有し、該壁流基材は、
入口端、及び出口端、前記入口端と前記出口端の間に延びる基材軸長さ、及び壁流フィルター基材の内壁によって規定された複数の通路を含み;
前記複数の通路は、開放した入口端と閉じた出口端を有する入口通路、及び閉じた入口端と開放した出口端を有する出口通路を有し;
前記入口通路の内部壁は、入口被覆部を有し、該入口被覆部は、前記入口端から入口被覆部端まで延び、これにより入口被覆部長さを規定し、及び該入口被覆部長さは、基材軸長さのx%であり、そして0<x≦80であり;
出口通路の内部壁は、出口被覆部を有し、該出口被覆部は、出口端から出口被覆端まで延び、これにより出口被覆部長さを規定し、及び該出口被覆部長さは、基材軸長さの100−x%であり;
入口被覆部長さは、触媒化された煤フィルターの上流領域を規定しており、及び出口被覆部長さは触媒化された煤フィルターの下流領域を規定しており;
前記入口被覆部は、白金(Pt)を含む酸化触媒を含み;
出口被覆部は、Pdを含む酸化触媒を含み、前記出口被覆部のPt濃度は、入口被覆部中のPt濃度よりも低く、及び前記出口被覆部のPt:Pdの質量割合は、0:1〜2:1の範囲であり;
前記入口被覆部と前記出口被覆部は、壁流基材上に、0.5〜1.5の範囲の被覆積載割合で存在し、該被覆積載割合は、入口被覆部の積載量(g/inch3(g/(2.54cm)3)):出口被覆部の積載量(g/inch3(g/(2.54cm)3))の割合として計算される、ことを特徴とする触媒化された煤フィルター。 - 前記触媒化された煤フィルターが、DOCの下流に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項24に記載のシステム。
