Abstract
Description
本実施例は、本架橋剤がメルトブロープロセスにおいてダイヘッド圧を低下させることを示すために提示される。図1に結果が示される。用いられた架橋剤の重量%レベルは、0、10、12.5、および16.5であった。図1から分かり得るように、架橋剤のレベルが増加するとダイヘッド圧は大幅に低下する。
本実施例は、架橋剤を用いない場合に対する架橋剤を用いて作られた弾性繊維不織布の引張り強さの劇的な増加を示すために提示される。データは、架橋剤が用いられると不織布の強度(最大荷重)が約100%も増加することを示す。データは、架橋剤を用いると高度の伸長度を維持しながら引張り歪みが約50%低下し、架橋剤の使用による劇的な弾性の増加を明示することも示す。
Claims (24)
- (a)熱可塑性ポリウレタンポリマー、および
(b)架橋剤
を含む不織布。 - 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタンポリマーは、ポリエステルポリウレタン、ポリエーテルポリウレタン、およびポリカーボネートポリウレタンからなる群から選ばれる、請求項1に記載の不織布。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタンポリマーは、ポリエステルポリウレタンである、請求項2に記載の不織布。
- 前記架橋剤は、前記熱可塑性ウレタンポリマーおよび前記架橋剤の合計重量を基準として5から20重量パーセントのレベルで存在する、請求項1に記載の不織布。
- 前記架橋剤は、8から15重量パーセントのレベルで存在する、請求項4に記載の不織布。
- 前記架橋剤は、ポリエーテルプレポリマーおよびポリエステルプレポリマーからなる群から選ばれるイソシアネート末端プレポリマーである、請求項4に記載の不織布。
- 前記架橋剤は、1,000から10,000ダルトンの数平均分子量を有する、請求項4に記載の不織布。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタンポリマーは、
(a)少なくとも1つのヒドロキシル末端中間体、
(b)少なくとも1つのグリコール鎖延長剤、および
(c)少なくとも1つのポリイソシアネート
を反応させることによって作られる、請求項2に記載の不織布。 - 前記ポリイソシアネートは、ジイソシアネートである、請求項8に記載の不織布。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタンは、100,000から800,000ダルトンの重量平均分子量を有する、請求項9に記載の不織布。
- (a)予め形成された熱可塑性ポリウレタンポリマーを押し出し機に加えるステップ、
(b)前記押し出し機の中で前記熱可塑性ポリマーを溶融させてポリマー溶融物を作り出すステップ、
(c)前記ポリマー溶融物に架橋剤を加えるステップ、
(d)メルトブロープロセス、およびスパンボンドプロセスからなる群から選ばれるプロセスにおいて、前記架橋剤と混合された前記ポリマー溶融物を、複数の孔を有するダイの中を通過させ、ここから繊維が形成される、ステップ、および
(e)前記繊維をランダムな配置で集めて前記不織布を形成させるステップ
を含む、不織布を製造する方法。 - 前記プロセスは、スパンボンドプロセスである、請求項11に記載のプロセス。
- 前記プロセスは、メルトブロープロセスである、請求項12に記載のプロセス。
- 前記架橋剤は、前記予め形成された熱可塑性ポリウレタンポリマーおよび前記架橋剤の合計重量を基準として5から20重量パーセントのレベルで存在する、請求項11に記載のプロセス。
- 前記架橋剤は、8から15重量パーセントのレベルで存在する、請求項14に記載のプロセス。
- 前記予め形成された熱可塑性ポリウレタンポリマーは、
(a)少なくとも1つのヒドロキシル末端中間体、
(b)少なくとも1つのグリコール鎖延長剤、および
(c)少なくとも1つのポリイソシアネート
を反応させることによって作られる、請求項11に記載のプロセス。 - 前記予め形成された熱可塑性ポリウレタンは、100,000から800,000ダルトンの重量平均分子量を有し、前記ポリイソシアネートは、ジイソシアネートであり、前記架橋剤は、1,000から10,000の数平均分子量を有する、請求項16に記載のプロセス。
- 前記不織布は、前記不織布を圧縮するカレンダー操作に付される、請求項11に記載のプロセス。
- 請求項1に記載の不織布を含む物品であって、前記物品は、消費者向けアパレル、産業用アパレル、医療用品、スポーツ用品、保護用品、およびろ過膜からなる群から選ばれる物品。
- 熱可塑性ポリウレタン不織布から作られ、かつ複数の細孔を有する多孔性膜。
- 前記膜は、100ナノメートルから100マイクロメートル未満の細孔サイズを有する、請求項20に記載の膜。
- 前記膜は、ASTM D737−96に従って測定されたとき、前記膜を通る2から500フィート3/分/フィート2(0.601から152.4m3/分/m2)の空気流速を有する、請求項20に記載の膜。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタン布は、架橋剤を用いて作られる、請求項20に記載の膜。
- 前記膜は、前記膜を通る5から10フィート3/分/フィート2(1.524から3.048m3/分/m2)の空気流速を有する、請求項22に記載の膜。
