Abstract
【解決手段】アレイ基板(10)において、絵素電極(13)は、長辺が走査線2の延設方向と同じ方向に配置され、短辺がデータ線(1)の延設方向と同じ方向に配置され、且つ、2隅に切欠かれて切欠き部(13a)を形成し、さらにV字状の切開部が、上記2隅の切欠き部とは別に形成されている。

Description
本発明の態様1に係るアレイ基板は、1絵素領域をいくつかのパートに分けて、液晶分子をそれぞれパート毎に異なる方向を向いて並べて駆動するマルチドメイン型の液晶表示装置に備えられたアレイ基板において、絶縁性基板11上に、複数の走査線2と複数のデータ線1とが交差して配置されると共に、これら走査線2とデータ線1に接続された、スイッチング素子5を介して略長方形状の絵素電極13がそれぞれ形成されており、上記絵素電極13は、長辺が上記走査線2の延設方向と同じ方向に配置され、短辺がデータ線1の延設方向と同じ方向に配置され、且つ、上記絵素電極13の4隅のうち長辺を構成する2隅に切欠かれた切欠き部13aが形成され、さらにV字状の切開部13bが、上記2隅の切欠き部13aとは別に形成され、上記絵素電極13を駆動するための走査線2に隣接する走査線2の少なくとも一部に重なるように、シールド電極17が形成され、上記シールド電極17は、上記絵素電極13からなり、上記絵素電極13は隣接する走査線2の一部を跨ぐことを特徴としている。

Claims (7)
- 1絵素領域をいくつかのパートに分けて、液晶分子をそれぞれパート毎に異なる方向を向いて並べて駆動するマルチドメイン型の液晶表示装置に備えられたアレイ基板において、
絶縁性基板上に、複数の走査線と複数のデータ線とが交差して配置されると共に、これら走査線とデータ線に接続された、スイッチング素子を介して略長方形状の絵素電極がそれぞれ形成されており、
上記絵素電極は、長辺が上記走査線の延設方向と同じ方向に配置され、短辺がデータ線の延設方向と同じ方向に配置され、且つ、上記絵素電極の4隅のうち長辺を構成する2隅に切欠かれた切欠き部が形成され、さらにV字状の切開部が、上記2隅の切欠き部とは別に形成され、
上記絵素電極を駆動するための走査線に隣接する走査線の少なくとも一部に重なるように、シールド電極が形成され、
上記シールド電極は、上記絵素電極からなり、上記絵素電極は隣接する走査線の一部を跨ぐことを特徴とするアレイ基板。 - 上記絵素電極には、上記切開部が形成されると共に、当該切開部の縁部に、液晶の配向方向とほぼ直交する方向にスリットが形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアレイ基板。
- 上記絵素電極の切欠き部が、上記走査線に沿って隣接する2隅に形成されているとき、該絵素電極の短辺側の切欠き距離が14μm以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアレイ基板。
- 上記走査線と同じ層に形成された蓄積容量線と、
上記データ線と同じ層に形成され、且つ上記スイッチング素子のドレイン電極と接続された蓄積容量対向電極とが絶縁膜を介して重ねて形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアレイ基板。 - 対向基板とアレイ基板との間に液晶を挟持した液晶パネルを備えた液晶表示装置において、
上記アレイ基板は、請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載のアレイ基板であることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 上記対向基板に突起部を備えており、平面視において、上記アレイ基板の層間絶縁膜に形成されたコンタクトホールと上記突起部との距離を、上記コンタクトホールと絵素電極に形成された切開部との距離よりも短くとることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載のアレイ基板を備えたことを特徴とする電子装置。
