Abstract
【解決手段】光ファイバを非直線的径路に沿って製造する方法は複数の流体ベアリング216を組み込むステップを含む。1本の光ファイバは、1個のプリフォームから第1の径路に沿って線引きされ、1個の流体ベアリング216の流体クッション領域に接触せしめられ、かつファイバが上記流体クッション領域を横切って線引きされるにつれて、第2の径路に沿うように向きを向け直される。

Claims (3)
- 光ファイバの製造方法であって、
1個のプリフォームから1本の光ファイバを第1の経路に沿って線引きするステップ、および
前記裸の光ファイバを1条の溝内で1つの流入口から流入させた流体に接触させるステップであって、前記溝は少なくともほぼ平行の二つの側壁によって画成され、前記流体に関する圧力が選択されかつ前記ファイバは、或る幅を有する前記溝の領域内に支持され、前記圧力および前記幅は、前記ファイバが、少なくとも実質的にベルヌーイ効果の結果として前記溝内において自らの中心保持を行なうのに十分な圧力および幅を有するステップ、
を有してなる方法。 - 前記溝を形成する少なくとも一方の壁は、前記溝を形成する他方の壁に対して平行な方向から、0度を超え10度以内の角度だけ傾斜していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記線引きステップ中に、前記ファイバは、該ファイバの外周面と各壁との間の距離が、前記ファイバの直径の0.05倍と0.5倍との間であるように、前記溝の領域内に支持されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
