Abstract
Description
本出願は、2009年4月10日出願の米国仮出願第61/168,526号の優先権を主張するものであり、これらの全ては、参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。

Claims (20)
- 触媒ナノ粒子、炭素原料ガス及びキャリアガスをCNT合成温度に晒すこと、
CNTを前記触媒ナノ粒子上に形成させること、
前記CNTを冷却すること、
及び、CNT浸出基材を形成するために前記冷却されたCNTを基材表面に晒すこと、
を含んで構成された方法。 - 前記基材を前記CNTに晒す前に、当該基材を官能基化することを更に含んで構成された請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記CNT浸出基材を官能基化することを更に含んで構成された請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記基材を、アミン基、カルボニル基、カルボキシル基、フッ素含有基、シラン基、シロキサン基、及び、これらのあらゆる組み合わせからなるグループから選択された官能基を添加することによって官能基化する請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記基材が、炭素繊維、グラファイト繊維、セルロース繊維、ガラス繊維、金属繊維、セラミック繊維、金属‐セラミック繊維、セルロース繊維、アラミド繊維、及びこれらのあらゆる組み合わせからなるグループから選択された少なくとも1つの材料を更に含んで構成された請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記CNT合成温度が、約450℃から約1000℃の範囲の温度である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記CNTを、約25℃から約450℃の範囲の温度に冷却する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 触媒と溶媒を含む触媒溶液を供給すること、及び、
前記触媒溶液を霧化して前記触媒ナノ粒子を残すように前記溶剤を蒸発させること、
を更に含んで構成された請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記触媒ナノ粒子が、d-ブロックの遷移金属を含んで構成された請求項1に記載の方法。
- キャリアガスを供給するキャリアガス供給源と、
触媒ナノ粒子を供給する触媒供給源と、
炭素原料を供給する炭素原料供給源と、
基材を供給する基材供給源と、
前記キャリアガス、前記触媒ナノ粒子及び前記炭素原料を受け入れて前記キャリアガス、前記触媒ナノ粒子及び前記炭素原料をCNT成長ゾーン内へ導入する注入装置、CNTを前記触媒上に合成させて合成CNTを形成させるために前記CNT成長ゾーン内で前記キャリアガス、前記触媒ナノ粒子及び前記炭素原料をCNT合成温度まで加熱する発熱体、前記合成CNTを受け入れて当該合成CNTを冷却する分散フード、及び、前記合成CNTと前記基材を受け入れてCNT浸出基材を生産するために前記基材を冷却された合成CNTへ晒すCNT浸出チャンバーを含んで構成されたCNT成長反応器と、
を含んで構成されたシステム。 - 前記基材を、官能基化する請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記基材が、炭素繊維、グラファイト繊維、セルロース繊維、ガラス繊維、金属繊維、セラミック繊維、金属‐セラミック繊維、セルロース繊維、アラミド繊維、及びこれらのあらゆる組み合わせからなるグループから選択された少なくとも1つの材料を含んで構成された請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記CNT合成温度が、約450℃から約1000℃の範囲の温度である請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記分散フードは、前記合成CNTを約25℃から約450℃の範囲の温度に冷却する請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記炭素原料が、アセチレン、エチレン、メタノール、メタン、プロパン、ベンゼン、天然ガス、及びこれらのあらゆる組み合わせからなるグループから選択された少なくとも1つの化合物を含んで構成された請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 触媒ナノ粒子、炭素原料ガス及びキャリアガスを供給すること、
前記触媒ナノ粒子、前記炭素原料ガス及び前記キャリアガスをCNT合成温度まで加熱すること、
CNTを前記触媒ナノ粒子上に形成させること、
前記CNTを冷却すること、
基材を供給すること、
CNT浸出基材を形成するために前記基材を前記冷却されたCNTに晒すこと、及び
前記CNT浸出基材を含んで構成された複合材料を形成すること、
を含んで構成された方法。 - 前記基材を、官能基化する請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記複合材料を形成する前に前記CNT浸出基材を官能基化することを更に含んで構成された請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記基材を、動的ベースで供給する請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記複合材料がマトリックス材を更に含んで構成され、前記マトリックス材が、熱硬化性樹脂、熱可塑性樹脂、金属、セラミック、セメント、及び、これらのあらゆる組み合わせからなるグループから選択された少なくとも1つの材料を含んで構成された請求項16に記載の方法。
