Abstract
Description
− Vを0.05〜0.4重量%、Mnを0.09〜0.3重量%、Crを0.1重量%未満、Moを0.1重量%未満、Niを0.1重量%未満、Cuを0.2重量%未満、Cを0.1重量%未満、Oを0.25重量%未満、不可避の不純物を0.5重量%未満、及びその残分として鉄を含む、水噴霧低合金鋼粉末。
− 鋼粉末をベースにした鉄系鋼粉末組成物であって、この組成物に対して、黒鉛の形のCを0.35〜1重量%、及び任意選択で潤滑剤を0.05〜2重量%、及び/又は銅粉の形のCuを1.5〜4重量%、及び/又はニッケル粉の形のNiを1〜4重量%と;任意選択で硬質相材料及び機械加工性増強剤とを有する組成物。
− a)上記組成の鉄系鋼粉末組成物を調製するステップ、
b)この組成物を、400から2000MPaの間の圧縮に付して、未加工の部材を製造するステップ、

鋼粉末は、定められた量の合金元素を含有する鋼溶融体の水噴霧によって生成される。噴霧された粉末は、さらに、参照により本明細書に組み込まれる米国特許第6,027,544号に記載されるような還元アニーリングプロセスに付される。鋼粉末の粒度は、プレス及び焼結又は粉末鍛造プロセスに適合する限り、任意のサイズにすることができる。適切な粒度の例は、150μmよりも大きい粒子を約10重量%、及び45μmよりも小さい粒子を約20重量%有する、Hoganas AB、スウェーデンから入手可能な公知の粉末ABC100.30の粒度である。
マンガンは、クロムの場合のように、鋼粉末の強度、硬度、及び硬化性を増大させる。また、マンガン含有量が低すぎる場合、鋼製造の過程で還元に関する特定の処理が実施されない限り、安価なリサイクルスクラップを使用することは可能ではなく、コストが増大する。さらに、マンガンは、存在する酸素の一部と反応する可能性があり、それによって、酸化バナジウムのいかなる形成も減少する。したがって、マンガン含有量は、0.09重量%以上であるべきであり、好ましくは0.1重量%以上である。0.3重量%を超えるマンガン含有量は、鋼粉末中のマンガン含有介在物の形成を増加させる可能性があり、固溶体の硬化及び高いフェライト硬度に起因して圧縮性に悪影響を及ぼす可能性もあり、好ましくはマンガンの含有量は、最大で0.20重量%、より好ましくは最大で0.15%である。
圧縮前に、鉄系鋼粉末を、黒鉛、及び任意選択で銅粉及び/又は潤滑剤及び/又はニッケル粉、及び任意選択で硬質相材料及び機械加工性増強剤と混合する。
鉄系粉末組成物を型に移し、約400〜2000MPaの圧縮圧力をかけて、約6.75g/cm3を超える圧粉密度にする。得られた未加工の部材をさらに、約1000〜1400℃の温度、好ましくは約1100〜1300℃の間の温度の還元雰囲気中で焼結に付する。
焼結した部材は、完全密度に到達させるため、鍛造操作に供してもよい。鍛造操作は、部材の温度が約500〜1400℃である場合には焼結操作の直後に、又は焼結した部材を冷却した後に行ってもよく、次いで冷却した部材を約500〜1400℃の温度に再加熱した後に、鍛造操作を行う。
PM工業で一般に使用される鉄−銅−炭素系をベースにし且つ特に粉末鍛造に向けた部材を焼結したときに得られるフェライト/パーライト構造とは対照的に、本発明による合金鋼粉末は、より微細なフェライト/パーライト構造が得られるように設計される。

- Vを0.05〜0.4重量%、
Mnを0.09〜0.3重量%、

Oを0.25重量%未満、
不可避の不純物を0.5重量%未満、

を含む、水噴霧プレ合金化鉄系鋼粉末。 - Vの含有量が0.1〜0.35の範囲内にある、請求項1に記載の粉末。
- Vの含有量が0.2〜0.35の範囲内にある、請求項2に記載の粉末。
- Mnの含有量が0.09〜0.2重量%の範囲内にある、請求項1から3までのいずれか一項に記載の粉末。
- Sの含有量が0.05重量%未満である、請求項1から4までのいずれか一項に記載の粉末。
- Crの含有量が0.05重量%未満であり、Niの含有量が0.05重量%未満であり、Moの含有量が0.05重量%未満であり、Cuの含有量が0.15重量%未満であり、Sの含有量が0.03重量%未満であり、付随的不純物の総量が0.3重量%未満である、請求項1から5までのいずれか一項に記載の粉末。
- 0.35〜1重量%の黒鉛の組成物、及び任意選択で0.05〜2重量%の潤滑剤の組成物、及び/又は1.5〜4重量%の量の銅、及び/又は1〜4%の量のニッケル;及び任意選択で硬質相材料及び機械加工性増強剤と混合した、請求項1から6までのいずれか一項に記載の鋼粉末を含む、鉄系粉末組成物。
- 粉末がNiと混合されていない、請求項7に記載の鉄系粉末組成物。
- a)請求項7又は8に記載の鉄系鋼粉末組成物を調製するステップ、
b)該組成物を、400から2000MPaの間の圧縮に付するステップ、
c)得られた未加工の部材を、1000〜1400℃の間の温度の還元雰囲気中で焼結するステップ、
