Abstract
Description
本願は、2009年3月13日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/160,176号からの優先権に基づき、かつこの優先権を主張する。この米国仮特許出願の全体は、本明細書中に参考として援用される。
分野
本発明は、保護塗膜、およびそれにより被覆されたファスナーおよび他の表面に関し、たとえば一緒に取り付けられた2つの異なる金属の一方または両方を、たとえば構造部材の腐食または劣化などの腐食または劣化から保護することができるような塗膜とファスナーとに関し、たとえば金属顔料などの顔料を含む塗膜と、それで被覆されたファスナーおよび他の要素などがある。
様々な腐食抑制剤(1−クロム酸ストロンチウム、2−BTTSA+BTTSAアミン+塩混合物、ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩(PCAS)+塩混合物)を含む3種の耐食性を有する塗膜を使用してチタンファスナーを被覆し、これをアルミニウム合金ブロックに挿入してアセンブリーを形成した。各アセンブリーを500時間中性塩スプレー試験(5%塩化ナトリウム溶液)に曝露した。5%塩化ナトリウム溶液は、ASTMB117規格に準拠し、塩スプレーチャンバーを用いて95°Fでアセンブリーにスプレーする。500時間の曝露後、アセンブリーを分解し、ファスナーと接触したアルミニウム表面について腐食作用(ピット)を調査した。結果を下記の表1に示す:
トルク/引張試験は、ネジファスナーアセンブリーの摩擦性能を評価するためにファスナー産業で繁用される。この試験に使用した装置を図5に示す。
Claims (39)
- 耐食性を有する組成物を含む外面防食塗膜を施した部品における改良であって、塗布される該耐食性を有する組成物は:
亜鉛およびカルシウムからなる群から選択されるカチオンと、シリケート、ホスファート、カルボナートおよびオキシドからなる群から選択されるアニオンとから形成される約4〜8重量%の無機成分の塩;
腐食抑制剤としての約2〜15重量%のアルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩;
を含み、
該無機成分の塩および該アルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩は高分子樹脂を含む残部に懸濁され、得られた塗膜は乾燥され、焼き付けられる
改良。 - 前記残部はポリテトラフルオロエチレンをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の改良。
- 前記残部は二硫化モリブデン、アルミニウム、ポリプロピレンおよびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される顔料をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の改良。
- 前記耐食性を有する組成物は揮発性溶剤キャリアに溶解される、請求項1に記載の改良。
- 前記無機成分の塩は粒径が10ミクロン以下である、請求項1に記載の改良。
- 前記耐食性を有する組成物は揮発性溶剤キャリアに溶解され、前記部品の前記外面塗膜は乾燥され、焼き付けられる、請求項1に記載の改良。
- 前記部品はファスナーを含む、請求項1に記載の改良。
- 前記高分子樹脂はフェノール−ホルムアルデヒド熱硬化性樹脂を含む、請求項1に記載の改良。
- 前記高分子樹脂は水性高分子樹脂を含む、請求項1に記載の改良。
- 防食塗膜を締結系の部品に提供する方法であって:
亜鉛およびカルシウムからなる群から選択されるカチオンと、シリケート、ホスファート、カルボナートおよびオキシドからなる群から選択されるアニオンとから形成される約4〜8重量%の無機成分の塩;および腐食抑制剤としての約2〜15重量%のアルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩を含む耐食性を有する塗膜を提供するステップ;
該無機成分の塩および該ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩を、高分子樹脂を含む残部に懸濁して防食塗膜を形成するステップ;
該防食塗膜を部品に塗布するステップ;ならびに
該部品上の該防食塗膜の乾燥および焼き付けを行うステップ
を含む、方法。 - 前記残部への懸濁はポリテトラフルオロエチレンを含む該残部への懸濁をさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記残部への懸濁は二硫化モリブデン、アルミニウム、ポリプロピレンおよびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される顔料を含む該残部への懸濁をさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 塗布する前に揮発性溶剤キャリアに溶解させた前記耐食性を有する組成物を提供することをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記無機成分の塩を提供することは10ミクロン以下の粒径で該無機成分の塩を提供することを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記残部の前記懸濁液は揮発性溶剤キャリアに溶解され、前記溶液は前記部品に塗布され、該部品の前記塗膜は乾燥され、焼き付けられる、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記防食塗膜の部品への塗布は前記塗膜のファスナーへの塗布を含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記高分子樹脂を含む残部への前記無機成分の塩および前記ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩の懸濁は、フェノール−ホルムアルデヒド熱硬化性樹脂を含む残部への該無機成分の塩および該アルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩の懸濁を含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 高分子樹脂を含む残部への前記無機成分の塩および前記アルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩の懸濁は、水性高分子樹脂を含む残部への該無機成分の塩および該アルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩の懸濁を含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 耐食性を有する塗膜を提供することは約3〜5重量%のアルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩を提供することを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 耐食性を有する塗膜を提供することはアルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩を提供することを含み、該アルコキシはメトキシ−およびエトキシ−の群から選択される、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 耐食性を有する塗膜を提供することはアルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩を提供することを含み、該カルボン酸はヘプタン酸、オクタデカン酸、ドデカン酸または安息香酸の群から選択される、請求項19または請求項20のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 耐食性を有する塗膜を提供することは約2〜15重量%のポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルエトキシシロキサン)ドデカン酸塩を提供することを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 耐食性を有する塗膜を提供することは約3〜5重量%のポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルエトキシシロキサン)ドデカン酸塩を提供することを含む、請求項22に記載の方法。
- 耐食性を有する組成物であって:該組成物は、
亜鉛およびカルシウムからなる群から選択されるカチオンと、シリケート、ホスファート、カルボナートおよびオキシドからなる群から選択されるアニオンとから形成される4〜8重量%の無機成分の塩;
腐食抑制剤としての2〜15重量%のアルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩;ならびに
40〜90%のキャリア溶剤;
から本質的になり
該無機成分の塩および該アルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩は、10〜40重量%のポリテトラフルオロエチレンを有する高分子樹脂、二硫化モリブデン、アルミニウム、ポリプロピレンおよびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される顔料の残部に懸濁される
組成物。 - 前記キャリア溶剤は揮発性溶剤キャリアである、請求項24に記載の組成物。
- 前記キャリア溶剤は低分子量分子量アルコールまたはメチルエチルケトンである、請求項24に記載の組成物。
- 前記無機成分の塩は粒径が10ミクロン以下である、請求項24に記載の組成物。
- 前記高分子樹脂はフェノール−ホルムアルデヒド熱硬化性樹脂を含む、請求項24に記載の組成物。
- 前記高分子樹脂は水性高分子樹脂を含む、請求項24に記載の組成物。
- 被覆された金属ファスナーエレメントであって:
表面を有する金属ファスナーエレメント;
該金属エレメントの該表面の塗膜であって、該塗膜は亜鉛およびカルシウムからなる群から選択されるカチオンと、シリケート、ホスファート、カルボナートおよびオキシドからなる群から選択されるアニオンとから形成される約15〜30重量%の無機成分の塩と、腐食抑制剤としての5〜30重量%のアルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩と、高分子樹脂を含む55〜80重量%の残部中の該無機成分の塩および該アルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩とを含む、塗膜
を含む、金属ファスナーエレメント。 - 前記ファスナーエレメントはナットおよびボルトのいずれか一方である、請求項30に記載のエレメント。
- 前記アルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩は10〜20重量%で存在する、請求項30に記載のエレメント。
- 前記アルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩は5〜30重量%のポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルエトキシシロキサン)ドデカン酸塩である、請求項30に記載のエレメント。
- ポリテトラフルオロエチレンをさらに含む、請求項30に記載のエレメント。
- 二硫化モリブデン、アルミニウム、ポリプロピレンおよびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される顔料をさらに含む、請求項30に記載のエレメント。
- 亜鉛およびカルシウムからなる群から選択されるカチオンと、シリケート、ホスファート、カルボナートおよびオキシドからなる群から選択されるアニオンとから形成される約15〜30重量%の無機成分の塩と、腐食抑制剤としての5〜30重量%のアルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩と、高分子樹脂を含む55〜80重量%の残部中の該無機成分の塩および該アルカリ性ポリ(3−アンモニウムプロピルアルコキシシロキサン)カルボン酸塩とを含む塗膜を含む無料(complimentary)のファスナーエレメントに係合された、請求項30に記載のエレメント。
- 本明細書に記載するような塗膜で被覆された、金属表面。
- 本明細書に記載するような塗膜で被覆された、ナットおよびボルト。
- 本明細書に記載するような組成物を含む塗膜を塗布することにより金属表面を保護する、方法。
