1.レーザ切断の使用は、ダイカッティング等の機械システムでは不可能である、(性能を向上させる)金属形状間の非常に小さなギャップを提供する。本発明のいくつかの実施形態によると、幅約0.5ミル〜約8ミルのギャップが、0.75インチ〜2.5インチの長さの伝導形状との組み合わせで、伝導形状の間に形成される。

Claims (12)
- 絶縁導体の複数のツイストペアと、
金属形状の少なくとも1つの層と絶縁基板とを有する、積層フィルムであって、前記フィルムは、前記複数のツイストペアに巻き付けられ、前記金属形状は、前記積層フィルムの金属層から形成され、前記形状は、略0.1マイクロメートルないし略100マイクロメートルの範囲内の厚みを有する積層フィルムと、を備え、
前記金属形状は、前記金属層のレーザ切断によって形成されることを特徴とする通信ケーブル。 - 第1のケーブルの第1の端部に機械的に取り付けられ、前記絶縁導体の複数のツイストペアに電気的に接続される第1の端部コネクタと、
前記第1のケーブルの第2の端部に機械的に取り付けられ、前記絶縁導体の複数のツイストペアに電気的に接続される第2の端部コネクタと、をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信ケーブル。 - 前記金属形状は、ランダム配置で、前記積層フィルム上に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信ケーブル。
- 前記金属形状は、疑似ランダム配置で、前記積層フィルム上に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信ケーブル。
- 前記金属形状は、前記フィルムに沿って縦方向に反復するパターンで、前記積層フィルム上に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信ケーブル。
- 前記積層フィルムは、前記絶縁基板と前記金属層との間に接着層を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信ケーブル。
- 前記接着層は、前記レーザ切断の間にレーザ光線を吸収するように構成される着色顔料を含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の通信ケーブル。
- 前記金属層から前記絶縁基板の反対側に第2の金属層をさらに備え、前記第2の金属層は、レーザ切断によって形成される第2の組の金属形状を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信ケーブル。
- 前記パターンは、0.1mないし100mの範囲から選択されるパターン長を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の通信ケーブル。
- 前記金属形状は、約0.5ミルないし約8ミルの範囲の幅を有するギャップによって、相互に分離されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信ケーブル。
- 前記金属形状は、前記金属形状と前記絶縁導体のツイストペアとの間に所望されない電磁結合を形成しないように選択される、固定長を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信ケーブル。
- 前記金属形状は、前記絶縁導体のツイストペアの効果的なペア撚り長さの整数または半整数倍数を避けるように選択される長さを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信ケーブル。
