Description
Claims (21)
- 人を支持する支持システムであって、当該支持システムは、
気化物透過性材料を備える第1層と、
スペーサ材料を備える第2層と、
第3層と、を備えており、
前記第2層が前記第1層と当該第3層との間にあって、
前記スペーサが1.0インチ未満の厚さであって、
当該支持システムは、湿気が前記第1層を通って当該支持システムの中心部分の前記スペーサ材料内に移動することを可能にするように形成されており、
当該支持システムは、湿気が、前記スペーサ材料から外側に移動して、当該支持システムの周縁に近接した当該支持システムの一部の前記第1層を通ることを可能にするように形成されることを特徴とする支持システム。 - 請求項1に記載の支持システムにおいて、前記第2層の前記スペーサ材料の厚さは0.5インチ以下であることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項1に記載の支持システムにおいて、前記第2層の前記スペーサ材料の厚さは0.375インチ以下であることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項1に記載の支持システムにおいて、前記第2層の前記スペーサ材料の厚さは0.25インチ以下であることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項1に記載の支持システムにおいて、当該支持システムが接触面の圧力を10mmHg以上にわたって低下させないように形成されることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項1に記載の支持システムにおいて、当該支持システムは、使用時、
湿気が、前記第1層を通って、当該支持システムによって支持される人の下の領域の前記スペーサ材料の第1部分内に移動し、
湿気が、前記スペーサ材料の前記第1部分から、当該支持システムの周縁に近接する前記スペーサ材料の第2部分に移動し、
湿気が、前記スペーサ材料の前記第2部分から前記第1層を通って、当該支持システムの外側の環境に移動する、ように形成されることを特徴とする支持システム。 - 請求項1に記載の支持システムにおいて、当該支持システムはエアムーバーを備えていないことを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項1に記載の支持システムにおいて、当該支持システムはマットレスに連結されるように形成されることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項1に記載の支持システムにおいて、当該支持システムは椅子に連結されるように形成されることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項1に記載の支持システムにおいて、支持部材に当該支持システムを連結するように形成される連結部材をさらに備えることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項10に記載の支持システムにおいて、前記支持部材はマットレスであることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項10に記載の支持システムにおいて、前記支持部材は椅子であることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項10に記載の支持システムにおいて、前記連結部材は、ストラップ、ジッパー、ボタン、バックル及びマジックテープ式ファスナから構成される群から選択されることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項1に記載の支持システムにおいて、前記第1層は、前記第1層を通る気化物移動率を増大させるように形成される当該支持システムの周縁に近接した部分を備えることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項14に記載の支持システムにおいて、当該支持システムの周縁に近接した部分は、前記第1層の残余部と異なる材料を備えることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項14に記載の支持システムにおいて、当該支持システムの周縁に近接した部分は開口部を備えることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項14に記載の支持システムにおいて、当該支持システムの周縁に近接した部分は、前記第1層にスリットを備えることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項14に記載の支持システムにおいて、当該支持システムの周縁に近接した部分は多孔性材料を備えることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項14に記載の支持システムにおいて、当該支持システムの周縁に近接した部分は複数の開口部を備えることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 請求項1に記載の支持システムにおいて、前記スペーサ材料は、連続気泡発泡体;天然ポリマー分子又は合成ポリマー分子、フィラメント、又はストランド;綿繊維;ポリエステル繊維;可撓性の金属及び金属合金;形状記憶の金属及び合金、並びに形状記憶プラスチック、のいずれかを備えることを特徴とする支持システム。
- 支持面と人との間の接触面から湿気を除去する方法であって、当該方法は、
支持システムであって、
気化物透過性材料を備える第1層と、
スペーサ材料を備える第2層と、
第3層と、を備え、前記第2層が前記第1層と前記第3層との間にある、支持システムを提供し、
前記人から、前記第1層を通って、前記人の下に配置される前記スペーサ材料の第1部分内に湿気を移動させ、
エアムーバーの補助なしに、前記スペーサ材料の前記第1部分から、当該支持システムの周縁に近接した前記スペーサ材料の第2部分に湿気を移動させ、
前記スペーサ材料の前記第2部分から前記第1層を通って当該支持システムの外側の環境に湿気を移動させる、ことを特徴とする方法。
