Description

本発明は、標準的な押出フィルムの形成と組み合わせた磁気受容媒体を組み込むものである。今日の印刷市場で入手可能な製品は、商業的な押出フィルムと、押出処理後に適用された磁気受容コーティングとを組み合わせる。これは、磁石に取り付ける片側印刷フィルムを製造する。この新しい発明は、押出処理の形成において、磁気受容媒体の組み込みの利点を示しており、磁気受容性を有し、両側の印刷面を維持する印刷媒体を生み出す。
多くの開示されたプロセスにおいて、押出フィルムのためのポリマのマスターバッチングに含まれる有機および無機媒体双方の多くの付加物があった。これらは、遮光、不透明度の増加、および複数の他の利点に沿った後処理性質の変化といった多くの商業上の用途を有する。これらの付加的なアプローチは、ポリプロピレン、ポリエステル、ポリエチレンおよび多くの他の種類や様々な合成フィルムのような媒体全体に用いられてきた。
この非仮出願は、2008年11月6日に出願された仮出願番号第61/198,524号に基づく。
我々は塗料から紙および塗布フィルムに至るまで多くの磁気受容製品を開発してきた。この製品ラインにより我々は、まずフィルムを押し出し、次いでこのフィルムを塗布する代わりに、1プロセスで磁気受容印刷媒体を生成することができる。小売グラフィックスは常に変化しており、2面の製品の必要性は非常に現実的である。廃棄物を減少させ、出荷や仲介費用を低減させる能力を有するので、導入の必要性は産業においてゲームチェンジャーである。先に開示された発明、米国特許第5,945,205号において、コア層(第1の層)における充填剤の使用は光吸収目的には有用であり、包装食品を紫外線劣化という損傷から防ぐ。それらの処理において、空隙処理を増加させ、紫外線遮蔽を生成するためにグラファイトのような層状顔料を用いる。この顔料は一般に、0.5%乃至5%の重量比で現れる。我々の発明において、15%乃至70%の重量比、0.01μ乃至30μの寸法比で磁鉄鉱粉または他の強磁性粒子を有する。このことは産業において利用されるよりかなり高い添加である。米国特許第4,345,005号は金属化塗料の接着を向上させるための添加物の使用を開示する。反応硬化における電子ビーム硬化は、これらのコーティングを硬化させる。この処理は添加材に磁石が付かないようにする。
米国特許第4,117,193号はエチレン−ブテン共重合体の低結晶樹脂および表面に潤滑油および粘着防止剤を有するポリオレフィン樹脂の包含が、低安定性を示すフィルムを製造し、ブロッキング防止の補助となることを教示する。
本発明は、印刷を受けるのに好適な上層および下層を同時押出する機能を用いて合わせられる従来型の押出処理における磁気受容媒体の組み込みに基づく。このアプローチは押出処理において採用されておらず、ポリマにおける充填材の通常の添加量として考えられているよりも多くを用いて、磁石にくっつく好適な磁性と、一方が他方の上にある複数層とを有するフィルムを製造する。この発明は産業上の廃棄物を減らし、より環境的に責任のある選択肢を示す。使用された製品は工場に戻され、コア層にマスターバッチされる。このことは磁気受容コアを隠す白い印刷可能な外層のため可能となる。
実施例
以下の例は本発明をさらに例示および説明するよう示され、任意の事項に限定するものとして捉えられるべきではない。
実施例1
押出フィルムに適合可能であるよう製造され重量に対し25%の添加された磁気受容粒子と混合されたポリプロピレン樹脂の混合物が、間に磁気受容層を挟む上層および下層で同時押出された。
第1の層とその次の外側層との間の流れの温度を調整することが重要である。磁性または他の強磁性の媒体の添加が多いため、熱シンクとして作用し、冷却を遅らせる。外側層に粘土または炭酸カルシウムを多く添加すると、実施例ごとの差異を補償する助けとなりうる。同時押出されたウェブは、その後縦および横の双方向へ段階的に方向付けられてもよい。プロセスの目的に応じて、本発明に微小空隙およびキャビテーション技術を適用してもよい。ポリマの好適な溶融点は400°F乃至600°Fである。

  4. 印刷を除くのに好適な1またはそれ以上の外側層を有する磁性受容コア層を含むことを特徴とするキャストフィルム構造。
  5. 外側層の不透明度を向上させるために1またはそれ以上の二軸配向された外側層を有する強磁性材料を用いたフィルム。
  6. 磁石に取り付けるのに好適な強磁性媒体を用いたフィルム。
