Claims (14)
- 機能性液に活性添加剤を受動的に送達する方法であり、該添加剤が、該機能性液において実質的に不溶性、低溶解性、またはそうでなければ該機能性液と不適合性であり、該方法が、
I. 送達デバイスを用いて、該液を、該添加剤または該添加剤を含む組成物と接触させるステップであり、該送達デバイスが、該添加剤または添加剤含有組成物を含み、該機能性液との接触を可能にする、ステップ
を含む、方法。 - 前記添加剤を含む前記組成物が、ゲル組成物、前記添加剤が添加されることとなる前記機能性液の使用温度を上回る融点を有する固体組成物、またはこれら組み合わせを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記添加剤を含む前記組成物が、ゲル組成物を含み、該ゲルが、清浄剤、分散剤、酸類、塩基類、高塩基性清浄剤、およびコハク酸化ポリオレフィン類からなる群より選択される少なくとも二つの成分の組み合わせにより形成され、
該選択された添加剤が、組み合わせられるとゲルを形成し;
該ゲルが、前記実質的に不溶性または低溶解性の添加剤の存在下で形成され、前記実質的に不溶性または低溶解性の添加剤が溶解および/または分散された、ゲル組成物を生じる、請求項1〜2のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記ゲルが、
a)高塩基性清浄剤を含む塩基性成分と;
b)無水マレイン酸スチレンコポリマー、無灰分散剤、ポリオレフィン、コハク酸化ポリオレフィンまたはこれらの混合物を含む、酸性成分と;
c)機能性液において実質的に不溶性または低溶解性の添加剤成分と;
の組み合わせにより形成され、
d 粘度調整剤(単数または複数)、摩擦調整剤(単数または複数)、清浄剤(単数または複数)、曇り点降下剤(単数または複数)、流動点降下剤(単数または複数)、解乳化剤(単数または複数)、流動性向上剤(単数または複数)、帯電防止剤(単数または複数)、分散剤(単数または複数)、抗酸化剤(単数または複数)、消泡剤(単数または複数)、腐食防止/防錆剤(単数または複数)、極圧/摩耗防止剤(単数または複数)、シール膨張剤(単数または複数)、潤滑補助剤(単数または複数)、霧化防止剤(単数または複数)、またはその混合物を含む、少なくとも一つの添加剤
を任意にさらに含む、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記ゲルが、0.330未満のtanデルタ値および75未満のcone pen値を有する、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記添加剤を含む前記組成物が、室温では固体であって、前記添加剤が添加されることとなる前記機能性液の使用温度を上回る融点を有する、固体を含む、請求項1〜2のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記送達デバイスが、液フィルタを含む、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記実質的に不溶性または低溶解性の添加剤が、摩擦調整剤、泡止め剤、腐食防止剤、またはこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記添加剤が送達されることとなる前記機能性液が、油圧液、自動変速機液、ギヤボックス液、手動変速機液、ディファレンシャル液、金属加工液、サスペンション系液、エンジン液、潤滑油、エンジンオイル、変速機液、グリース、ギヤオイル、不凍液、冷却系液、農耕用トラクタ液、変圧器液、燃料、機械系液、工業用液、およびこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記機能性液がエンジンオイルであり、前記添加剤の前記送達が、燃費の向上、前記液の前記粘度安定性の向上、前記液の耐用期間の向上、またはその組み合わせを生じる、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の方法。
- ゲル組成物であり、該ゲルが、
a)高塩基性清浄剤を含む塩基性成分と;
b)無水マレイン酸スチレンコポリマー、無灰分散剤、ポリオレフィン、コハク酸化ポリオレフィンまたはその混合物を含む酸性成分と;
c)機能性液において実質的に不溶性または低溶解性の添加剤成分と;
の組み合わせにより形成され、
d)粘度調整剤(単数または複数)、摩擦調整剤(単数または複数)、清浄剤(単数または複数)、曇り点降下剤(単数または複数)、流動点降下剤(単数または複数)、解乳化剤(単数または複数)、流動性向上剤(単数または複数)、帯電防止剤(単数または複数)、分散剤(単数または複数)、抗酸化剤(単数または複数)、消泡剤(単数または複数)、腐食防止/防錆剤(単数または複数)、極圧/摩耗防止剤(単数または複数)、シール膨張剤(単数または複数)、潤滑補助剤(単数または複数)、霧化防止剤(単数または複数)、またはこれらの混合物を含む、少なくとも一つの添加剤
を任意にさらに含む、ゲル組成物。 - 室温で固体である添加剤組成物であり、機能性液において実質的に不溶性または低溶解性の少なくとも二つの添加剤成分を含み;
該添加剤組成物を構成する成分、および該成分間の比が、該液の使用温度よりも5℃上回る融点を有する固体添加剤組成物を生じるように選択される、添加剤組成物。 - 前記実質的に不溶性または低溶解性の添加剤が、酒石酸ジヘキサデシル、酒石酸ジオクタデシル、N−ステアリル酒石酸イミド、N−オレイル酒石酸イミド、ジ−C14〜18ジアルキル酒石酸、ステアリン酸アミド、オレイン酸アミド、オレイル酒石酸イミド、C24〜28アルケニルコハク酸イミド、C24〜28アルキルフェノール、N−ヘキサデシルマルイミド、1−ドデシル−5−オキソ−ピロリジン−3−カルボン酸ドデシルアミド、トリメチル−トリフルオロプロピルメチルシロキサン、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される、請求項11〜12のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 機能性液と請求項11〜13のいずれかに記載のゲル組成物との接触を促進する、液調整デバイス。
