Abstract
Description
本願は、米国仮特許出願第61/090,782号(名称「WOUND THERAPY SYSTEM WITH CANISTER FILL DETECTOR」、2008年8月21日出願)の優先権を主張し、この出願の開示は、その全体が本明細書に参考として援用される。
本開示は、陰圧創傷療法システムに関し、より具体的には、流体収集キャニスタ内で使用するための電気接点保護を備えるセンサ、および同センサを含む陰圧創傷療法システムに関する。
吸引療法または真空療法としても周知である陰圧療法は、創傷の治療および治癒において使用されている。創傷上に局在させたリザーバに、陰圧、例えば、減圧または準大気圧を印加することによる開放創の治療は、創傷領域での血液循環を増加させ、肉芽組織の形成を刺激し、創傷上への健常組織の遊走を促進することによって、創傷の閉鎖を補助することが見出されている。陰圧療法はまた、細菌を宿しがちであり得る滲出液等の創傷からの創傷流体を引き出すことにより、細菌の増殖を阻止し得る。故に、陰圧療法は、その消毒効果および組織再生効果から、治癒法として適用され得る。本技法は、慢性的もしくは治癒抵抗性の創傷および潰瘍を含む、種々の創傷状態の治療に対して効果的であることが立証されており、術後の創傷の手当て等の他の目的のためにも使用されている。
Claims (17)
- 流体収集用のキャニスタ内で使用するためのセンサであって、該キャニスタは、キャニスタ上部を有し、および流体収集チャンバを画定し、該センサは、
第1の部分および第2の部分を含む第1の電極であって、該第1の電極の該第1の部分は、該キャニスタ上部によって支持され、該第1の電極の該第2の部分は、該流体収集チャンバ内へと延在するように構成される、第1の電極と、
第1の部分および第2の部分を含む第2の電極であって、該第2の電極の該第1の部分は、該キャニスタ上部によって支持され、該第2の電極の該第2の部分は、該流体収集チャンバ内へと延在するように構成される、第2の電極と、
該第1および第2の電極と関連した電気特性を検出するように構成される電気回路と
を備える、センサ。 - 前記流体収集チャンバ内に配置される内部チャンバをさらに備え、該内部チャンバは、前記キャニスタ上部、内壁、および底端部によって囲まれており、前記第1および第2の電極の前記第2の部分は、該内部チャンバ内に配置される、請求項1に記載のセンサ。
- 前記内部チャンバの前記底端部の少なくとも一部分は、水溶性フィルムから形成される、請求項2に記載のセンサ。
- 前記水溶性フィルムは、該水溶性フィルムの特性、前記流体収集チャンバ内に収容される流体の特性、および該流体の該流体収集チャンバへの流量のうちの少なくとも1つに応じて、一定期間にわたって溶解する、請求項3に記載のセンサ。
- 前記水溶性フィルムの前記特性は、該水溶性フィルムの厚さ、該水溶性フィルムの密度、および該水溶性フィルムの組成のうちの少なくとも1つである、請求項4に記載のセンサ。
- 前記流体収集チャンバ内に収容される前記流体の前記特性は、該流体のpH、該流体の粘度、および該流体のイオン組成のうちの少なくとも1つである、請求項4に記載のセンサ。
- 前記電気回路は、前記第1の電極と第2の電極とにわたる電圧測定値を検出するように構成される、請求項1に記載のセンサ。
- 前記第1の電極と第2の電極とにわたる電圧の変化の測定値は、状態を示すための表示器を作動させるために使用される、請求項7に記載のセンサ。
- 前記状態は、キャニスタ交換状態である、請求項8に記載のセンサ。
- 前記状態は、キャニスタ充満状態である、請求項8に記載のセンサ。
- 可搬式陰圧創傷療法システムであって、
創傷に陰圧を印加するために該創傷上に位置する手当アセンブリと、
キャニスタアセンブリであって、
制御ユニットと、
該制御ユニット内に配置される真空源と、
該制御ユニットと連通している圧力センサと、
収集キャニスタであって、該収集キャニスタは、該手当アセンブリと流体連通している入口導管と、該手当アセンブリからの創傷流体を収集するチャンバと、該創傷流体を該手当アセンブリから該チャンバへ導入するために該入口導管に連結される入口ポートと、該チャンバおよび該真空源と連通する吸引ポートとを含む、収集キャニスタと、
該収集キャニスタと関連した状態を検出するセンサであって、該センサは、
第1の部分および第2の部分を含む第1の電極であって、該第1の電極の該第1の部分は、該キャニスタ上部によって支持され、該第1の電極の該第2の部分は、該流体収集チャンバ内へと延在するように構成される、第1の電極と、
第1の部分および第2の部分を含む第2の電極であって、該第2の電極の該第1の部分は、該キャニスタ上部によって支持され、該第2の電極の該第2の部分は、該流体収集チャンバ内へと延在するように構成される、第2の電極と、
該第1および第2の電極と関連した電気特性を検出するように構成される電気回路であって、該第1および第2の電極の該第2の部分は、滲出液の乾燥によって形成される付着物を阻止するためにコーティングによって被覆される、電気回路と
を含む、センサと
を含む、キャニスタアセンブリと
を備える、システム。 - 前記キャニスタアセンブリは、前記チャンバおよび前記収集キャニスタと連通する変換器ポートをさらに含む、請求項11に記載の可搬式陰圧創傷療法システム。
- 前記制御ユニットは、前記キャニスタ内の陰圧を監視および制御する、請求項11に記載の可搬式陰圧創傷療法システム。
- 創傷治癒に関連する陰圧療法のためのシステムであって、
創傷床に対して位置する手当アセンブリと、
陰圧機構であって、
制御ユニットと、
該制御ユニットによって印加される陰圧の下で、該創傷から除去された滲出液を収集する収集キャニスタと、
検出回路であって、該検出回路は、該収集キャニスタ内に配置される第1および第2の導電性接点と表示器とを含み、該表示器は、滲出液が該第1および第2の導電性接点と接触すると、知覚可能な表示を提供するように適合される、検出回路と
を含む、陰圧機構と
を備える、システム。 - 前記検出回路は、前記第1の導電性接点と前記第2の導電性接点との間に滲出液が不在であるときには開放している、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記検出回路は、滲出液が前記第1および第2の導電性接点と接触すると閉鎖される、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1および第2の導電性接点は、前記収集キャニスタの最大充填容量に相当する該収集キャニスタ内の位置に取り付けられる、請求項14に記載のシステム。
