Abstract

Claims (10)
- 第1の分離機を含むインクジェットプリンタのための粒子/泡除去デバイスであって、前記第1の分離器は、
少なくとも2列の障害物を含む障害物の配列を備え、前記障害物は各々、前記第1の分離器における流路に対して横方向へ延び、前記障害物の列は互いから列オフセット率によってオフセットされ、前記障害物の配列は、前記第1の分離器におけるインクの圧力降下約100Paを維持しながら、臨界直径より大きい直径を有するより大きい粒子を前記配列を通って、かつインク流路に対してある角度に曲げられた第1の軌跡ベクトルに沿って選好的にルーティングするように、かつ前記臨界直径より小さい直径を有するより小さい粒子を、前記配列を通って前記インク流路に対して事実上ある角度に曲げられていない第2の軌跡に沿ってルーティングするように構成され、前記第1の軌跡ベクトルの角度は前記列オフセット率の関数である粒子/泡除去デバイス。 - 前記第1の分離器へ流体的に結合される第2の分離器をさらに備え、前記第2の分離器は前記より大きい粒子を前記より小さい粒子からさらに分離するように構成される挟まれた流れの分別機能を含む、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記第2の分離器は、

分出機能と、
第2のチャネル内を流れる前記より大きい粒子が事実上存在しないインクの一部が第1のチャネル内を流れる前記より大きい粒子を含むインクに接合するシース液体を提供することを可能にするように構成される1つまたは複数の集束入口とを備える、請求項2に記載のデバイス。 - 前記列オフセット率は約0.1から約0.25までの範囲内である、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記臨界直径は約10μmから約20μmまでの範囲内である、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 各障害物の断面の大きさは約25μmである、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 列内の障害物間の間隙は臨界直径の約1.5倍より大きい、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記障害物の配列は、少なくとも2列でありかつ約10列以下の障害物を含む、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記第1の分離器は多層スタックを備え、前記障害物の配列はバーの配列を備え、前記多層スタックの各層は前記バー配列のうちの少なくとも1つのバーを形成する、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- インクジェットプリンタにおいてインクから粒子/泡を除去するためのデバイスを製造する方法であって、
ベース層を形成することと、
多層スタックの複数の層を形成することと、
前記多層スタックの第1の層を前記ベース層へ付着することと、
前記多層スタックの各層を前記多層スタックの隣接する層へ付着することを含み、前記多層スタックの各層はバーの配列のうちの少なくとも1つのバーを形成し、前記バーの配列は少なくとも2列のバーを含む分離器を形成し、前記バーは前記分離器を横断して延び、前記バーの列は互いからオフセット率によってオフセットされ、前記バーの配列は、より大きい粒子を前記配列を通って前記オフセット率の関数である第1の軌跡ベクトルに沿って選好的にルーティングするように、かつより小さい粒子を前記配列を通って第2の軌跡ベクトルに沿ってルーティングするように構成される方法。
