Claims (5)
- インクから粒子を分離する層状のデバイスであって、
ベース層と、
前記ベース層に配置された層状スタックであって、前記層状スタックは、第1のチャネル、第2のチャネル、及び各々複数の障害物を含む複数の配列を備える第1の分離器を形成すると共にインクジェットプリンタ内に配置され、前記複数の障害物の各々は、前記第1の分離器にインクが流入する流入方向に対して横方向へ延び、前記複数の配列の各々は他の配列から所定距離離間し、前記複数の配列は、所定の直径より大きい直径を有するより大きい粒子を、前記複数の配列を通って、前記流入方向に対して所定角度に曲げられた第1の軌跡経路に沿って前記第1のチャネルに案内するように、かつ前記所定の直径より小さい直径を有するより小さい粒子を、前記複数の配列を通って、前記流入方向に対して前記所定角度に曲げられていない第2の軌跡経路に沿って前記第2のチャネルに案内するように構成される、前記層状スタックと、
カバー層と、
を備えるデバイスであって、
前記複数の配列の各々内の前記複数の障害物の各々と、他の配列内の前記複数の障害物の各々との間に複数の流路が形成され、
前記複数の流路には、
前記第1の軌跡経路に沿う第1の流路と、
前記第2の軌跡経路に沿う第2の流路と、
が含まれ、
前記第1の流路の幅は、前記所定の直径より大きく、
前記第2の流路の幅は、前記所定の直径である
デバイス。 - 前記複数の配列は、前記第1の分離器における100Paより小さいインクの圧力降下を維持するように構成される、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記複数の配列は、2列と10列との間の配列である、請求項1又は請求項2に記載のデバイス。
- 前記粒子は、泡を含む請求項1〜請求項3の何れか1項に記載のデバイス。
- 前記複数の配列には、
第1の配列と、
前記第1の配列よりも前記インクの流入方向の下流側に位置する第2の配列と、
が含まれ、
前記第2の配列には、前記流入方向及び前記横方向に直交する方向の位置が、前記第1の配列の前記複数の障害物の内の隣接する2つの第1の障害物及び第2の障害物の間に位置する第3の障害物が含まれ、
前記第1の障害物及び前記第3の障害物の最短距離が、前記第2の障害物及び前記第3の障害物の最短距離より長くなるように、前記第3の障害物が配置されることにより、前記第1の流路が前記第1の障害物及び前記第3の障害物の間に形成されかつ前記第2の流路が前記第2の障害物及び前記第3の障害物の間に形成される
請求項1〜請求項4の何れか1項に記載のデバイス。
