Claims (11)

  1. 一対の電極間に、有機化合物を含む層を有し、
    前記有機化合物を含む層は、蛍光発光性を有する発光中心材料からなる単分子層と、キャリア輸送性を有し、前記発光中心材料のバンドギャップより大きいバンドギャップを有するホスト材料からなる単分子層とを少なくとも有し、
    前記ホスト材料からなる単分子層の一と前記発光中心材料からなる単分子層の一は、一方の面が接している発光素子。
  2. 一対の電極間に、有機化合物を含む層を有し、
    前記有機化合物を含む層は、りん光発光性を有する発光中心材料からなる単分子層と、キャリア輸送性を有し、前記発光中心材料の三重項エネルギーより大きい三重項エネルギーを有するホスト材料からなる単分子層とを少なくとも有し、
    前記ホスト材料からなる単分子層の一と前記発光中心材料からなる単分子層の一は、一方の面が接している発光素子。
  3. 請求項１または請求項２において、
    前記ホスト材料の励起エネルギー供与に携わる骨格と、前記発光中心材料の励起エネルギー受容に携わる骨格が近接している発光素子。
  4. 請求項１または請求項２において、
    前記ホスト材料のキャリア供与に携わる骨格と、前記発光中心材料のキャリア受容に携わる骨格が近接している発光素子。
  5. 請求項１乃至請求項４のいずれか一項において、
    前記発光素子は、前記一対の電極間にさらに複合材料からなる層を有し、
    前記複合材料からなる層は、ホール輸送性の高い物質と、アクセプター性物質とを有し、
    前記ホスト材料の単分子層が、前記発光中心材料の単分子層と共有する界面と異なる界面を前記複合材料からなる層と共有する発光素子。
  6. 請求項１及至請求項４のいずれか一項において、
    前記複合材料からなる層と、前記発光中心材料の単分子層と、前記ホスト材料の単分子層とからなる積層体が複数積層する発光素子。
  7. 請求項６において、
    複数積層された前記積層体の総膜厚が３０ｎｍ以上２００ｎｍ以下である発光素子。
  8. 請求項１乃至請求項７のいずれか一項に記載の発光素子と、前記発光素子を制御する制御回路とを備えた発光装置。
  9. 請求項１乃至請求項７のいずれか一項に記載の発光素子と、前記発光素子を制御する制御回路とを備えた照明装置。
  10. 請求項８に記載の発光装置を備えた電子機器。
  11. 請求項９に記載の照明装置を備えた電子機器。
