Abstract
【解決手段】重量百分率で、炭素0.6〜0.9%と、銅1.5〜3.9%と、鉄93.2〜97.9%と、他の元素である残部とを含有する粉末金属材料を成形型内で7.0〜7.1g/cm3の密度に圧密化しかつ温度816〜871℃(1500〜1600°F)で予備焼結して、粉末金属ブランクが形成される。潤滑材により粉末金属ブランクに潤滑性を付与し、少なくとも密度7.3g/cm3に再圧密化した後、温度1121℃(2050°F)で焼結して、最終粉末金属ブランクが形成される。燃料噴射器固定具自体は、ほぼ円筒状の中央部と、中央部から横方向に延伸する第1の翼部と、角度180°だけ第1の翼部から離間して中央部から横方向に延伸する第2の翼部とを有する粉末金属の単一構造体を有する。

Claims (10)
- 重量百分率で、炭素0.6〜0.9%と、銅1.5〜3.9%と、鉄93.2〜97.9%と、他の元素である残部とを含有する粉末金属装入材を準備する工程と、
成形型内で粉末金属装入材を7.0〜7.1g/cm3の密度に一体圧密化し、その後、温度816〜871℃(1500〜1600°F)で予備焼結して、粉末金属ブランクを形成する工程と、
粉末金属ブランクを適切な潤滑材により被覆する工程と、
潤滑材で被覆した粉末金属ブランクを少なくとも密度7.3g/cm3に再圧密化し、その後、温度約1121℃(約2050°F)で焼結して、最終粉末金属ブランクを形成する工程とを含み、
最終粉末金属ブランクは、少なくとも2%の永久歪みを発生しない延性及び伸びを有することを特徴とする燃料噴射器固定具の形成方法。 - 温度816〜871℃(1500〜1600°F)で10分間予備焼結する工程を含む請求項1に記載の形成方法。
- 温度約1121℃(約2050°F)で10〜30分間焼結する工程を含む請求項1に記載の形成方法。
- エチレンビステアラミド(EBS)ワックスの群から潤滑材を選択する工程を含む請求項1に記載の形成方法。
- 重量百分率で、炭素0.6〜0.9%と、銅1.5〜3.9%と、鉄93.2〜97.9%と、他の元素である残部とを含有し、少なくとも密度7.3g/cm3を有する圧密化され焼結された粉末金属により構成され、中央開口部を有するほぼ円筒状の中央部と、中央部から横方向に延伸する第1の翼部と、角度180°で第1の翼部から離間して中央部から横方向に延伸する第2の翼部とを備える単一構造体を有し、
中央部は、下面と、第1の翼部に隣接する中央部の下面から下方に延伸する第1の支持縁と、第2の翼部に隣接する中央部の下面から下方に延伸する第2の支持縁とを備え、
中央部の下面は、第1の支持縁及び第2の支持縁より下方に延伸することを特徴とする燃料噴射器固定具。 - 燃料噴射器固定具の第1の翼部及び第2の翼部に対して下方への荷重が加えられると、第1の支持縁及び第2の支持縁は、中央部の下面に形成される平面よりも下方に移動する請求項5に記載の燃料噴射器固定具。
- 下方への荷重は、燃料噴射器固定具の弾性限度より小さい請求項6に記載の燃料噴射器固定具。
- 燃料噴射器固定具は、内燃機関に取り付けられ、
燃料噴射器固定具の中央部の中央開口部内に装着される燃料噴射器は、燃料噴射器固定具の中央部の下面に対向する上面を有するほぼ平坦な支持体を備え、
燃料噴射器固定具の第1の翼部と第2の翼部に下方荷重が加えられると、第1の支持縁及び第2の支持縁は、弾性的に下方に移動し、燃料噴射器の支持体の上面を抑制する請求項5に記載の燃料噴射器固定具。 - 下方への荷重は、10,000〜23,300N(2250〜5250lbs)である請求項8に記載の燃料噴射器固定具。
- 第1の支持縁及び第2の支持縁は、弾性的に下方に距離0.63〜1.0mm(0.024〜0.040in)を移動する請求項8に記載の燃料噴射器固定具。
