Abstract

Description

62から使用者への圧力スイング吸着で生成された酸素濃縮ガスの供給は、以下に説明するように供給システム70によって制御される。

Claims (7)
- 小型で高い携帯性を有する医療用の小型携帯酸素供給装置であって、ハウジングと2つの吸着層とを有し、前記吸着層は高い酸素濃度の製品ガスを生成するために周囲空気から窒素を吸着し、それぞれの前記吸着層は前記周囲空気を受けるため、及び吸着された窒素を排出するための入口端を有するとともに、前記装置の出口に前記製品ガスを伝達させるための出口端を有し、圧力スイング吸着組立体であって、前記ハウジングの外部で十分に作動可能であり、一体的ユニットとして前記ハウジングに挿入可能かつ前記ハウジングから取り外し可能な、圧力スイング吸着組立体を備え、前記圧力スイング吸着組立体は、
剛体の供給/廃棄マニホルドであって、内部に形成された流体伝達流路、及び、前記吸着層をその入口端で供給/廃棄マニホルドに直接取り付けて、その内部流路と流体連通する手段を有する、供給/廃棄マニホルドと、
前記供給/廃棄マニホルドに直接取り付けられた圧縮機及び供給弁手段であって、前記供給/廃棄マニホルドの前記内部流路を通して前記吸着層の前記入口端に周囲空気を選択的に引き込む、圧縮機及び供給弁手段と、
廃棄弁手段であって、前記供給/廃棄マニホルドに直接取り付けられ、前記入口端から前記供給/廃棄マニホルドの前記内部流路を通して大気に、前記吸着された窒素を選択的に放出する、廃棄弁手段と、
剛体の製品マニホルドであって、内部に形成された流体伝達流路、及び、前記吸着層をその出口端で前記製品マニホルドに直接取り付け、その内部流路と流体連通する手段を有する、製品マニホルドと、
制御手段であって、前記製品マニホルドに直接取り付けられ、製品ガスを前記吸着層の前記出口端から前記製品マニホルドの前記内部流路を通して前記装置の出口に選択的に搬送させる、制御手段と、
2つの前記吸着層及び2つの剛体のマニホルドの間に配置された接続手段であって、前記吸着層、前記マニホルド、前記圧縮機、前記弁手段、及び前記制御手段の全てを一体的作動組立体として保持及び支持するように、取り外し可能に前記マニホルドを保持する、接続手段とを含む、小型携帯酸素供給装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置において、
前記圧縮機は、前記供給/廃棄マニホルドの実質的に中央に配置され、前記接続手段は前記2つの吸着層及び前記2つの剛体のマニホルドの間の中央に配置され、前記接続手段により、少なくとも前記圧縮機と係合し、両方の前記マニホルドを通って前記製品マニホルドと係合して、一体的作動組立体を取り外し可能に支持する、装置。 - 請求項2に記載の装置において、
前記接続手段は、単一のボルトを備えた、装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置において、
混合タンクであって、前記一体的作動ユニットの一部として前記製品マニホルドに取り外し可能に直接取り付けられ、前記製品マニホルドに形成された前記内部流路と流体連通する、混合タンクをさらに備えた、装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置において、
流量制御弁であって、使用者による吸入によって作動し、前記一体的作動ユニットの一部として前記製品マニホルドに取り外し可能に直接取り付けられ、前記製品マニホルドに形成された前記内部流路と流体連通する、流量制御弁をさらに備えた、装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置において、
前記供給弁手段は、2つの入口弁であって、前記一体的作動ユニットの一部として前記
供給/廃棄マニホルドに取り外し可能に直接取り付けられ、前記入口弁の各々が前記圧縮機、及び前記吸着層の入口の1つと流体連通し、前記吸着層への周囲空気の流れを制御する、入口弁をさらに備えた、装置。 - 請求項4に記載の装置において、
2つの廃棄弁であって、前記一体的作動ユニットの一部として前記供給/廃棄マニホルドに取り外し可能に直接取り付けられ、前記廃棄弁の各々が前記供給/廃棄マニホルド内に形成された第2の内部流路と流体連通し、大気へ放出される前記吸着層からの排気ガスの流れを制御するように構成された、廃棄弁をさらに備えた、装置。
