Description

Claims (7)
- 圧力スイング吸着または真空圧力スイング吸着による医療用のガス濃縮装置であって、
高い酸素濃度の製品ガスを生成するために周囲空気から窒素を吸着するための2つの吸着層(30,32)であって、それぞれの前記吸着層は前記周囲空気を受けるため、及び吸着された前記窒素を含む排気ガスを排出するための入口(30a,32a)を有するとともに、前記装置の出口(68)に前記製品ガスを伝達させるための出口(30b,32b)を有する、2つの吸着層と、
圧縮機(24)及び2つの供給弁(40,42)であって、前記供給弁の各々は前記圧縮機及び前記吸着層の前記入口の1つと流体連通して、前記吸着層への周囲空気の流れを制御する、圧縮機及び2つの供給弁と、
2つの廃棄弁(44,46)であって、前記廃棄弁の各々は、大気に放出させる吸着層からの排気ガスの流れを制御する、2つの廃棄弁と、
前記吸着層の前記出口から前記製品ガスを前記装置の前記出口に選択的に搬送させる制御組立体(60)であって、使用者による吸入によって作動して、前記製品ガスを前記装置の前記出口を通して前記使用者に所定の時間にわたって搬送させる、流量制御弁(74)を含む、制御組立体と、を含む機械的に動作する構成部品を有するガス濃縮装置において、
マニホルド構造であって、一体化された構造配置で前記機械的に動作する構成部品の全てと相互接続され、供給のためにアクセス可能であり、両方の前記吸着層の前記入口に直接取り付けられた1つの供給/廃棄マニホルド(120)と、両方の前記吸着層の前記出口に直接取り付けられた1つの製品マニホルド(122)とを備え、2つの前記マニホルドが互いに直接接続されて間に前記吸着層を支持する、マニホルド構造を備え、
前記圧縮機(24)、前記2つの供給弁(40,42)、及び前記2つの廃棄弁(44,46)の全てが前記供給/廃棄マニホルド(120)に直接取り付けられ、内部流路を有する前記供給/廃棄マニホルドにより、周囲空気を前記内部流路を通して前記吸着層の前記入口に選択的に供給するための流体連通をもたらし、前記入口から前記大気に前記吸着された窒素を選択的に放出させて、標準大気で体積百分率が90%を超える酸素濃度の製品ガスを生成し、
前記制御組立体(60)は、前記製品マニホルド(122)に直接取り付けられた流量制御弁(74)を含み、前記製品マニホルドは、前記吸着層の前記出口からの前記製品ガスを、前記装置の前記出口への前記内部流路を通して、少なくとも3リットル毎分までの選択可能な名目流量で、使用者に選択的に供給させるための内部が遮断された流路を有する、ガス濃縮装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置において、
前記圧縮機は、前記吸着層の反対側にある前記供給/廃棄マニホルドの側面に直接取り付けられ、前記2つの吸着層の間に配置された、装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載の装置において、
前記機械的に動作する構成部品は、前記製品マニホルドに取り外し可能に直接取り付けられ、前記吸着層の前記出口と前記装置の前記出口との間で、前記製品マニホルドの前記内部が遮断された流路と流体連通する、混合タンク(62)をさらに備えた、装置。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の装置において、
前記制御組立体(60)は、選択的な所定量の製品ガスを使用者に供給するために、複数の設定に設定可能であり、流量制御弁(74)は、吸入を検出したときに、前記設定及び前記製品ガスの酸素濃度に基づく期間作動する、装置。 - 請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の装置において、
前記圧縮機は、単軸モータ及び2つの対向する圧力ヘッドを含み、圧力スイング吸着装置内で両方の圧力ヘッドが圧縮された周囲空気を両方の前記吸着層の前記入口に供給する、または真空圧力スイング吸着装置であって、前記圧力ヘッドの一方が圧縮された周囲空気を前記吸着層の前記入口に供給し、前記排気ガスを前記吸着層の前記入口から前記大気に引き抜くために前記圧力ヘッドの他方が真空を提供する、装置。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の装置において、
前記ハウジングは2つのカバー(104,106)を備え、一方のカバーは、周囲空気が前記装置内に吸引されるアクセス通風口(110)、及び前記排気ガスが前記装置から排気される排気口(114)を含む、装置。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の装置において、
前記機械的に動作する構成部品及び2つの前記マニホルドは、前記装置の他の全ての構成部品と組み合わされたときに、約2.27キログラム(5ポンド)未満であり、4.13立方デシメートル(252立方インチ)未満の全内部容積を有するハウジング(104,106)に収容された、装置。
