Description
トリス[2−(2−ピリジニル)フェニル−C,N]イリジウム(Ir(ppy)2)、トリス(フェニルピリジン)イリジウム(III)、ポリ(STPPB_Irppy)、ポリ(カルバゾール_F(Ir)pic)及びこれらの組合せである。一般に、FIrpicのような有機りん光色素は固体フィルム中よりも希薄溶液中で高いフォトルミネセンス量子効率を有するが、これは固体フィルム中での自己消光のためである。
「電荷担体成分」は、実際に正孔を輸送するHOMOエネルギーレベルに寄与する成分である。この成分はHILのホスト材料であってもよいし、或いはドーパントであってもよい。ドープされたHILを用いることにより、ドーパントをその電気的特性の点から選択でき、ホストを形態学的特性(例えば、湿潤性、柔軟性、靱性など)の点から選択できる。HIL材料の好ましい特性は、正孔が陽極からHIL材料に効率よく注入され得るということである。特に、HILの電荷担体成分は、好ましくは陽極材料のIPより約0.7eVを超えない範囲で大きいIPを有する。さらに好ましくは、電荷担体成分は陽極材料より約0.5eVを超えない範囲で大きいIPを有する。同様の考察は、正孔が注入される任意の層に対して適用される。HIL材料はさらに、かかるHIL材料が従来の正孔輸送材料の正孔伝導度より実質的に小さい正孔伝導度を有し得るという点で、OLEDの正孔輸送層に通例使用される従来の正孔輸送材料から区別される。HILの厚さは、陽極層の表面を平坦化し又は濡らすことを助けるのに十分な程度に厚くてよい。例えば、約10nmほどに小さいHIL厚さでも、非常に滑らかな陽極表面に対しては許容し得る。しかし、陽極表面は非常に粗い傾向があるので、場合によっては最大約50nmまでのHIL厚さが望ましい。

Claims (20)
- りん光性OLED用の多色発光りん光層を形成する方法であって、
第1のりん光材料を第1の溶媒から第1の電極上に塗布し、第1の溶媒を除去して第1の発光層を形成する段階、及び
第2のりん光材料を第2の溶媒から第1の発光層上に塗布し、第2の溶媒を除去して第2の発光層を形成する段階
を含んでなり、第1及び第2の発光層は塗布後に硬化させず、第1の発光層は第2の溶媒に対して無視できる溶解性を有する、方法。 - さらに、ポリスチレンスルホン酸をドープしたポリ(3,4−エチレンジオキシチオフェン)(PEDOT:PSS)を含む正孔注入層を溶媒から第1の電極と第1の発光層との間に塗布する段階を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- さらに、電気活性材料の中間層を第1及び第2の発光層の間に塗布する段階を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 第1の発光層が青色発光りん光性ポリマー色素275−44−5を含み、第1の溶媒がクロロベンゼンであり、第2の発光層がオレンジ色りん光色素ADS078GEを含み、第2の溶媒がトルエンである、請求項1記載の方法。
- さらに、第3のりん光材料を第3の溶媒から第2の発光層上に塗布し、第3の溶媒を除去して第3の発光層を形成する段階を含み、第2のりん光材料及び第1のりん光材料は第3の溶媒に対して無視できる溶解性を有し、第3の発光層は塗布後に硬化させない、請求項1記載の方法。
- さらに、第2の電極を第3の発光層上に堆積させる段階を含み、第1のりん光材料が青色発光ポリ(カルバゾール_FIrpic)であり、第1の溶媒がクロロベンゼンであり、第2のりん光材料が緑色発光ポリ(STPPB_IrPPy)であり、第2の溶媒が2−エトキシエタノールであり、第3のりん光材料が赤色発光ADS067GEであり、第3の溶媒がトルエンであり、第2の電極がNaF/Alからなり、第1の電極がITOからなる、請求項5記載の方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法で形成される多色発光りん光性OLEDデバイス。
- 多色発光りん光性OLEDデバイスであって、
基板、
基板上に配設された陽極層、
陽極層上に配設された第1の発光層であって、第1のポリマー型りん光材料を含む第1の発光層、
第1の発光層上に配設された第2の発光層であって、第2のりん光材料を含む第2の発光層、及び
第2の発光層上に配設された陰極層
を含んでなり、第1及び第2の発光層は硬化させていない、多色発光りん光性OLEDデバイス。 - さらに、正孔注入層、正孔輸送層、正孔ブロック層、電子注入層、電子輸送層、電子ブロック層又はこれらの組合せを含む、請求項8記載のりん光性OLEDデバイス。
- 第1の発光層及び/又は第2の発光層がりん光材料の混合物を含む、請求項8記載のりん光性OLEDデバイス。
- 第1の発光層がトルエン不溶性の青色りん光性ポリマー色素275−44−5を含み、第2の発光層がトルエン可溶性のオレンジ色りん光色素ADS069REを含む、請求項8記載のりん光性OLEDデバイス。
- 第1の発光層が正孔輸送性ホスト材料と青色りん光性ポリマー色素275−44−5とのコポリマーを含み、第2の発光層が電子輸送性ホスト材料とオレンジ色発光りん光色素とのブレンド又はコポリマーを含む、請求項8記載のりん光性OLEDデバイス。
- さらに、ポリスチレンスルホン酸をドープしたポリ(3,4−エチレンジオキシチオフェン)(PEDOT:PSS)を含む正孔注入層を含む、請求項8記載のりん光性OLEDデバイス。
- 第2の発光層がさらに電子輸送性ホスト材料を含む、請求項8記載のりん光性OLEDデバイス。
- 第1の発光層がさらに正孔輸送性ホスト材料を含む、請求項8記載のりん光性OLEDデバイス。
- 第2のりん光材料が電子輸送性ポリマー型ホスト材料に共有結合している、請求項8記載のりん光性OLEDデバイス。
- 当該OLEDデバイスが白色光を発生する、請求項8記載のりん光性OLEDデバイス。
- さらに、第3のりん光材料及び第3の溶媒を含む第3の混合物を第2の発光層上に塗布し、溶媒を除去して第3の発光層を形成することによって形成される第3の発光層を含み、第1及び第2の発光層は第3の溶媒に対して無視できる溶解性を有し、第3の発光層は塗布後に硬化させない、請求項8記載のりん光性OLEDデバイス。
- 請求項8記載の多色発光りん光性OLEDデバイスを含んでなる物品であって、照明用途のための物品。
- 当該物品が屋内ランプ、屋外ランプ、シーリングライト、車両用ヘッドライト、フラッシュライト又は街灯である、請求項19記載の物品。
