Claims (22)
- リーンバーン内燃機関用の排気装置であって、
一酸化窒素(NO)を酸化するための触媒を含む第一基材モノリスと、前記第一基材モノリスに続いて、下流に、入口流路及び出口流路を有するウォールフローフィルタである第二基材モノリスとを備え、
前記入口流路が接触酸化成分を含むNOx吸着触媒(NAC)を含み、かつ前記出口流路が窒素系還元剤による窒素酸化物(NOx)の選択的接触還元(SCR)用の触媒を含む、排気装置。 - 前記ウォールフローフィルタの前記入口流路が、前記NACの下流に配置されたSCR触媒を含む、請求項1に記載の排気装置。
- 前記ウォールフローフィルタが、入口末端から出口末端まで伸びる長さを含み、
前記NACは、上流区域末端が前記ウォールフローフィルタ入口末端により規定された、前記ウォールフローフィルタ長さの30〜70%の実質的に一様な長さの第一区域に配置される、請求項2に記載の排気装置。 - 前記SCR触媒は、下流末端が前記ウォールフローフィルタ出口末端により規定された、前記ウォールフローフィルタ長さの30〜70%の実質的に一様な長さの第二区域に配置される、請求項3に記載の排気装置。
- 前記第一区域及び前記第二区域が重なっている、請求項4に記載の排気装置。
- 前記NAC及び前記SCR触媒が同じ触媒中に組み合わされている、請求項1に記載の排気装置。
- 前記NO酸化触媒が酸化触媒である、請求項1ないし6のいずれか一項に記載の排気装置。

- 前記浄化触媒が、前記SCR触媒を覆う別の層中に配置される、請求項10に記載の排気装置。
- 請求項3に従属する場合、
前記SCR触媒は、第二区域の上流末端が前記第一区域の下流末端により規定された、前記ウォールフローフィルタ長さの30〜65%の実質的に一様な長さの第二区域に配置され、
前記浄化触媒は、第三区域の上流末端が前記第二区域の下流末端により、及び下流末端では前記ウォールフローフィルタの前記出口末端により規定された、前記ウォールフローフィルタ長さの5〜40%の実質的に一様な長さの第三区域に配置されている、請求項11または12に記載の排気装置。 - 前記浄化触媒が、アルミナ上の比較的低い装填量の白金である、請求項11〜14のいずれか一項に記載の排気装置。
- 前記NAC触媒が、少なくとも一種のアルカリ土類金属、アルカリ金属及び希土類金属からなる群から選択され、
前記または各金属が、所望により耐火性酸化物上に担持される、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の排気装置。 - 前記SCR触媒が、耐火性酸化物上に担持された、遷移金属/ゼオライト、及びCu、Hf、La、Au、In、V、ランタニド及びVIII族遷移金属の少なくとも一種からなる群から選択される、請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載の排気装置。
- 前記耐火性酸化物が、Al2O3、TiO2、CeO2、SiO2、ZrO2、及びそれらの2種類以上を含む混合酸化物から選択される、請求項17に記載の排気装置。
- 第一流路及び第二流路を有するウォールフローフィルタであって、
前記第一流路が、接触酸化成分を含むNOx吸収触媒(NAC)を含み、
前記第二流路が、窒素系還元剤による窒素酸化物(NOx)の選択的接触還元(SCR)用の触媒を含み、
前記第二流路が、アンモニア及び/または炭化水素及び一酸化炭素を転化するための浄化触媒を含む、ウォールフローフィルタ。 - 前記浄化触媒が、一端において前記SCR触媒を含む前記流路の入口末端により規定された、実質的に一様な長さの区域に配置される、請求項19に記載のウォールフローフィルタ。
- 前記浄化触媒が、前記SCR触媒を覆う別の層中に配置される、請求項20に記載のウォールフローフィルタ。
- 前記ウォールフローフィルタが、第一末端から第二末端まで伸びる長さを含み、
前記NACは、上流区域末端が前記ウォールフローフィルタの前記第一末端より規定された、前記ウォールフローフィルタ長さの30〜70%の実質的に一様な長さの第一区域に配置され、
