- 第1の電圧(1)が圧電素子に印加され、変位(w)を伴う圧電素子の第1のたわみを生じさせ、
第1の電圧の印加後の圧電素子の放電が、第1の圧縮(x)によって圧電素子の第1の収縮を生じさせ、
第1の収縮後、第2の電圧(2)が圧電素子に印加され、第2の電圧の極性は第1の電圧(1)の極性と逆であり、第2の電圧は第2の圧縮(y)によって圧電素子のさらなる収縮を生じさせ、
印加された第2の電圧(2)の放電後の第1の電圧(1)の繰り返しの印加が、同じ変位(w)を伴う圧電素子のたわみを生じさせる、
圧電素子を作動させる方法。 - 圧電素子が、第1の電圧(1)の放電後の第1の寸法(A)と、第2の電圧(2)の放電後の、より小さい第2の寸法(B)とを有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 圧電素子が第2の収縮後の第3の寸法(C)を有し、第3の寸法が第1の寸法(A)よりも小さく、また、第2の寸法(B)よりも小さい、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 第2の電圧(2)の印加が繰り返されるとき、第2の寸法(B)が±5%の許容範囲を有する、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。

- 第1の電圧(1)の除去と第2の電圧(2)の印加との間の最大の時間が、2つの第1の電圧(1)の間の時間と第2の電圧(2)の持続時間との差に等しい、請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
