Abstract
【解決手段】前記線偏光板と1/4位相差板との間に前記線偏光板の透過軸に平行な偏光は透過させ、前記線偏光板の透過軸に垂直な偏光は反射させる反射型偏光フィルムが適用されることを特徴とする有機発光素子用輝度向上偏光板を提供する。本発明の偏光板を使用すると、有機発光素子の表示装置の輝度を画期的に向上させることができる。

Description
PVA素子の上−下部にTAC保護フィルムで合板された一般的な線偏光板を基本フィルムとし、下部に50%の透過度で特定線偏光を透過することができる反射型偏光フィルム(輝度向上用フィルム、3M)と1/4波長の140nm位相差フィルム(正分散特性を有するCOP高分子延伸フィルム)を順次に取り付けて本発明の輝度向上偏光板を製造した後、製造された偏光板を有機発光素子パネル(2インチ受動型OLEDパネル)に取り付けた。
PVA素子の上−下部にTAC保護フィルムで合板された一般的な線偏光板を基本フィルムとし、下部に50%の透過度で特定線偏光を透過することができる反射型偏光フィルム(輝度向上用フィルム、3M)に取り付けた。次に、アクリル系粘着剤にブラック染料を添加(配合比=100:0.02)して透過率を80%に調節した色補正粘着剤を製造した後、これを前記反射型偏光フィルム上に塗布し色補正粘着剤層を形成した。次いで、前記色補正粘着剤層上に1/4波長の140nm位相差フィルム(正分散特性を有するCOP高分子延伸フィルム)を取り付けて本発明の輝度向上偏光板を製造した後、製造された偏光板を有機発光素子パネル(2.2インチ能動型OLEDパネル)に取り付けた。
比較のために、偏光板が取り付けられていない有機発光素子パネル(2.2インチ能動型OLEDパネル)を使用した。
PVA素子の上−下部にTAC保護フィルムで合板された一般的な線偏光板と1/4波長の140nm位相差フィルム(正分散特性を有するCOP高分子延伸フィルム)から成る従来の円偏光板を有機発光素子パネルに取り付けた。
前記実施例1から2、及び比較例1及び2の有機発光素子パネルの輝度及び反射率を測定した。
Claims (9)
- 線偏光板及び1/4位相差板を含んで成る有機発光素子用偏光板において、
前記線偏光板と1/4位相差板との間に位置し、
前記線偏光板の透過軸と平行な偏光は透過させ、前記線偏光板の透過軸と垂直な偏光は反射させる反射型偏光フィルムを含むことを特徴とする有機発光素子用輝度向上偏光板。 - 前記有機発光素子用輝度向上偏光板は、前記反射型偏光フィルムの上部及び下部に少なくとも1つの粘着剤層を含み、
前記粘着剤層のうち、少なくとも1つは、外光の反射率を減少させるための色補正粘着剤から成ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機発光素子用輝度向上偏光板。 - 前記色補正粘着剤は、粘着性樹脂及び光吸収剤を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の有機発光素子用輝度向上偏光板。
- 前記光吸収剤は、粘着性樹脂100重量部に対して0.01から1重量部の含量で含まれることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の有機発光素子用輝度向上偏光板。
- 前記粘着性樹脂は、アクリル系、ウレタン系、ポリイソブチレン系、SBR(スチレン・ブタジエンラバー、styrene−butadiene rubber)系、ゴム系、ポリビニルエーテル系、エポキシ系、メラミン系、ポリエステル系、フェノール系及びシリコン系樹脂及びこれらの共重合体から成る群から選ばれることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の有機発光素子用輝度向上偏光板。
- 前記光吸収剤は、ブラック染料であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の有機発光素子用輝度向上偏光板。
- 前記ブラック染料は、吸収波長領域が500nmから600nmであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機発光素子用輝度向上偏光板。
- 前記光吸収剤は、490nmから500nmの吸収波長領域を有する染料と580から590nmの吸収波長領域を有する染料を混合して使用することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の有機発光素子用輝度向上偏光板。
- 請求項1から請求項8の何れか1項に記載の輝度向上偏光板を含むことを特徴とする有機発光素子の表示装置。
