Abstract
【解決手段】発光層3を挟持する透光性電極層2と遮光性電極層4とを有する発光部5と、透光性電極層上に設けられる透光性基板1とを有し、発光部から透光性基板に入射した光を、発光部が設置される面に対向する光放射面L2から放射する有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子10であって、透光性基板は、発光部の発光面積より大きい面積の光放射面を有し、発光部が設置される面及び光放射面を除いた部分に、鏡面金属膜からなる光反射層7を有する。

Description
[実施例1]
100mm×100mm、厚さ0.7mmの透光性基板の発光部を設置する発光部設置面を除いた部分と、側面に、スパッタにより光反射層を形成した。光反射層を設けなかった発光部設置面に、真空スパッタ法によりITOの薄膜を100nmの厚みに形成した。次に、フォトリソグラフィー法により、パターニングして透光性陽極層を形成した。続いて透光性陽極層上に、真空蒸着法にて蒸着速度を毎秒0.15nmとし、正孔輸送層としてα−NPDを50nm、発光層としてAlqを70nm、そして、陰極電極としてマグネシウムと銀を蒸着速度比10:1で共蒸着により150nmの薄膜を順次形成した。続いて、櫛歯状にパターニングした接続部と陰極電極それぞれに、幅2mmのポリイミドフィルムの端部に85mmの銅箔を添着したポリイミドフィルムを320℃にて熱圧着し、有機EL素子を調製した。
光反射層を設けなかった以外は実施例1と同様にして有機EL素子を調製した。

Claims (2)
- 発光層を挟持する透光性電極層と遮光性電極層とを有する発光部と、透光性電極層上に設けられる透光性基板とを有し、発光部から透光性基板に入射した光を、発光部が設置される面に対向する光放射面から放射する有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子であって、透光性基板は、発光部の発光面積より大きい面積の光放射面を有し、発光部が設置される面及び光放射面を除いた部分に、鏡面金属膜からなる光反射層を有することを特徴とする有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 請求項1又は2記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子を有することを特徴とする照明器具。
