Claims (5)
- 厚み方向に離間した一対の電極間に発光層を有する有機EL素子および前記有機EL素子の前記各電極それぞれに電気的に接続された外部接続電極が透明なプラスチックフィルムの一表面側に形成された有機EL素子モジュールと、前記有機ELモジュールを前記プラスチックフィルムの厚み方向の両側から挟み前記有機EL素子および前記プラスチックフィルムにおいて前記有機EL素子が形成された領域を囲む一対の封止部材である第1の封止部材および第2の封止部材とを備え、前記プラスチックフィルムの他表面側に前記プラスチックフィルムから離れて配置される前記第1の封止部材が透光性材料により形成され、前記第1の封止部材および前記第2の封止部材それぞれの前記有機EL素子モジュール側の表面の周部が全周に亘って前記有機EL素子モジュールと接合されており、前記第1の封止部材および前記第2の封止部材それぞれの周部と前記有機EL素子モジュールとの各接合部の周辺を被覆して水分およびガスの外部からの侵入を阻止する気密シール部を設けてなり、前記第1の封止部材および第2の封止部材は、それぞれガラス基板からなり、前記気密シール部は、無機材料により形成されてなり、前記気密シール部が、前記第1の封止部材の光取り出し面上まで延設されており、前記気密シール部のうち前記光取り出し面上に形成された部位が、アンチリフレクションコートとして機能するように前記気密シール部の材料および厚みを設定してあることを特徴とする発光装置。
- 前記気密シール部が前記第1封止部材および前記第2の封止部材の外側の全体を覆っており、前記気密シール部に、各前記外部接続電極を露出させる開口部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の発光装置。
- 前記第1の封止部材は、前記プラスチックフィルムよりも屈折率が低く、前記有機EL素子モジュールが、前記プラスチックフィルムの前記他表面側に設けられ前記発光層から放射された光の前記他表面での反射を抑制する凹凸構造部を備え、前記凹凸構造部の表面と前記第1の封止部材との間に空間が存在することを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載の発光装置。
- 前記有機EL素子モジュールと前記プラスチックフィルムの前記一表面側の前記第2の封止部材とで囲まれた空間に封止用の液体が封入されてなることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
- 前記有機EL素子の前記各電極のうち前記プラスチックフィルムの前記一表面から遠い側の前記電極と前記プラスチックフィルムの前記一表面側の前記第2の封止部材とが面接触していることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
