Abstract
【解決手段】発光装置は、透光性基板10と、透光性基板10の一表面側に形成された有機EL素子20と、透光性基板10の上記一表面側において有機EL素子20よりも上記一表面から離れて配置された封止部材50と、封止部材50と有機EL素子20との間に介在する不活性液体90とを備える。有機EL素子20は、陽極(第1の電極)22と発光層を含む有機EL層23と陰極(第2の電極)24との積層構造を有しており、陰極24において発光層側とは反対の表面側に、当該表面を平面とするときよりも放熱面積を拡大させる凹凸構造部24bを設けてある。

Description
本発明は上記事由に鑑みて為されたものであり、その目的は、有機EL素子で発生した熱をより効率良く放熱させることが可能な発光装置を提供することにある。

Claims (3)
- 透光性基板と、前記透光性基板の一表面側に形成されてなり前記一表面に近い側の第1の電極と前記一表面から遠い側の第2の電極との間に発光層を有する有機EL素子と、前記透光性基板の前記一表面側において前記有機EL素子よりも前記一表面から離れて配置された封止部材と、前記封止部材と前記有機EL素子との間に介在する不活性液体とを備え、前記有機EL素子は、前記第2の電極において前記発光層側とは反対の表面側に、前記表面を平面とするときよりも放熱面積を拡大させる放熱用の凹凸構造部を設けてなることを特徴とする発光装置。
- 前記第2の電極は、少なくとも前記表面側の部分が黒色であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の発光装置。
- 前記凹凸構造部からなる第1の凹凸構造部とは別に、前記透光性基板の他表面側に設けられ前記有機EL素子から放射された光の前記他表面での反射を抑制する第2の凹凸構造部と、前記透光性基板の前記他表面側に配置されたパッケージ用基板と、前記封止部材と前記パッケージ用基板との間に介在する枠状のスペーサ部とを備え、前記透光性基板がプラスチックフィルムにより構成され、前記パッケージ用基板が第1のガラス基板により構成されるとともに、前記封止部材が第1のガラス基板により構成され、前記スペーサ部がフリットガラスからなり、前記パッケージ用基板と前記封止部材と前記スペーサ部とで囲まれた空間に前記不活性液体が充填されてなり、前記第2の凹凸構造部と前記パッケージ用基板との間に空間が存在することを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載の発光装置。
