Abstract
ハニカム押出ダイをダイ本体から作製する方法の改善。
【解決手段】
ハニカム押出ダイをダイ本体から作製する方法は、押出スロットを少なくとも1つの砥石車で機械加工し、押出スロットのハニカムパターンを提供する工程を有してなる。さらなる例では、押出スロットのハニカムパターンの複数の押出スロットは、前記押出スロットのハニカムパターンの複数の押出スロットを、前記砥石車で機械加工した後、ワイヤー放電加工法で機械加工されうる。

Claims (5)
- 互いに間隔をあけ、かつ、砥石車の回転軸に沿って同心円状に整列した複数の翼を備えた砥石車を用いて、ダイ本体から、ハニカム押出ダイを作製する方法であって、本方法は、
前記砥石車を前記回転軸の周囲で回転せしめ、前記砥石車の翼によって、複数の、平行な押出スロットの第1のセットが、前記ダイ本体内に同時に機械加工されるように、前記ダイ本体と接触させたまま、前記砥石車を第1の方向軸に沿って移動せしめ、
前記砥石車を前記回転軸の周囲で回転せしめ、前記砥石車の翼によって、複数の平行な押出スロットの第2のセットが同時に、前記ダイ本体内に機械加工されるように、前記ダイ本体と接触させたまま、前記砥石車を前記第1の方向軸と交差する第2の方向軸に沿って移動せしめる、

ここで、前記ダイ本体には、前記平行な押出スロットの第1および第2のセットに由来する、交差する押出スロットから形成された押出スロットのハニカムパターンが備わっている、

ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記押出スロットのハニカムパターンを、前記砥石車を用いて機械加工した後、前記押出スロット・パターンの複数の押出スロットが、ワイヤー放電加工法でさらに機械加工されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記平行な押出スロットの第1のセットを、前記砥石車を用いて機械加工した後、複数の前記押出スロットの第1のセットがワイヤー放電加工法でさらに機械加工されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記平行な押出スロットの第2のセットを、前記砥石車を用いて機械加工した後、複数の前記押出スロットの第2のセットがワイヤー放電加工法でさらに機械加工されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
