Abstract
【解決手段】有機EL素子ユニット1を収納する凹所21が一面に形成され且つ配線層15,17に電気的に接続される電路25,27が形成されたパッケージ本体20と、パッケージ本体20の上記一面側に気密的に接合されるパッケージ蓋30と、パッケージ本体20内で配線層15,17と電路25,27とを電気的に接続する接続部45,47とを備える。パッケージ本体20の凹所21の内面の一部を構成する内周面23に、凹所21の内底面22と有機EL素子ユニット1の透光性基板10との距離を規定する階段面24a1を有する階段部24を有し、当該階段面24a1と当該階段面24a1からの立ち上がり面24b2とにより有機EL素子ユニット1を位置決めする位置決め部26を構成しており、凹凸構造部19の表面と凹所21の内底面22との間に空間50が存在している。

Description
以下、本実施形態の発光装置について、図1に基づいて説明する。
図3に示す本実施形態の発光装置Aの基本構成は実施形態1と略同じであって、パッケージ本体20に形成されている電路25,27の形状などが相違する。なお、実施形態1と同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付してある。
図4に示す本実施形態の発光装置Aの基本構成は実施形態1と略同じであって、パッケージ本体20およびパッケージ蓋30の形状が相違している。なお、実施形態1と同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。
図5に示す本実施形態の発光装置Aの基本構成は実施形態3と略同じであって、透光性基板10の周部に凹凸部10cが形成されており、パッケージ本体20の階段面24a1上に、平面視において、透光性基板10の凹凸部10cと互いに入り組む凹凸部20cが形成されている点などが相違する。なお、実施形態3と同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付して説明する。

Claims (4)
- 厚み方向に離間した一対の電極間に発光層を有する有機EL素子および前記有機EL素子の前記各電極それぞれに電気的に接続された配線層が透光性基板の一表面側に形成された有機EL素子ユニットと、有機EL素子ユニットを収納する凹所が一面に形成されるとともに前記配線層に電気的に接続される電路が形成されたパッケージ本体と、前記パッケージ本体の前記一面側で前記凹所を閉塞し周部が前記パッケージ本体に気密的に接合されるパッケージ蓋と、前記パッケージ本体内で前記透光性基板の前記一表面側に配置され前記配線層と前記電路とを電気的に接続する接続部とを備え、前記有機EL素子ユニットは、前記透光性基板の他表面側において前記有機EL素子に重なる領域に設けられ前記有機EL素子から放射された光の前記他表面での反射を抑制する凹凸構造部を有し、前記パッケージ本体は、前記凹所の内面に、少なくとも、前記凹所の内底面と前記有機EL素子ユニットの前記透光性基板との距離を規定する階段面を有する階段部を有し、前記階段面と前記階段面からの立ち上がり面とにより前記有機EL素子ユニットを位置決めする位置決め部を構成しており、前記凹凸構造部の表面と前記凹所の前記内底面との間に空間が存在することを特徴とする発光装置。
- 前記パッケージ本体は、前記階段部の段数が2段であり、下段の前記階段面と下段の前記階段面からの前記立ち上がり面とにより前記位置決め部を構成し、前記有機EL素子ユニットの前記配線層の表面と前記電路のうち上段の階段面に形成された内部端子の表面とを面一とするように前記立ち上がり面の高さを設定してあり、前記接続部は、前記配線層の前記表面と前記内部端子の表面とに跨って配置されてなることを特徴とする請求項1記載の発光装置。
- 前記パッケージ本体は、前記階段部の段数が1段であり、前記立ち上がり面のうち前記透光性基板よりも前記一面に近い側に、前記一面に近づくにつれて前記凹所の開口面積を徐々に広げるように傾斜した傾斜面を有しており、前記パッケージ蓋は、前記パッケージ本体の側縁を前記傾斜面のうち前記一面に近い部位に沿った斜面としてあり、前記パッケージ本体と前記パッケージ蓋とは、前記パッケージ蓋が前記凹所に嵌入され前記斜面と前記傾斜面とが接合されてなることを特徴とする請求項1記載の発光装置。
- 前記パッケージ本体の内周面と前記有機EL素子ユニットと前記パッケージ蓋とで囲まれた空間に不活性の液体が封入されてなることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
