Abstract

Claims (20)
- 患者の左心耳内に配置可能な器具であって、
運搬のための第1の細長い形態及び前記左心耳内への配置のための第2の拡張形態を呈する保持部材と、
前記保持部材に非取り付け状態で前記保持部材内に位置決めされていて、前記保持部材の前記拡張形態において前記保持部材内で浮動可能な物体と、を有し、
前記保持部材は、大きな横方向寸法を有し、前記保持部材は、前記保持部材を前記左心耳に固定するための少なくとも1つの左心耳壁係合部材を有する、器具。 - 前記保持部材は、形状記憶材料で構成され、前記保持部材は、前記拡張形態では、形状記憶位置に向かって動く、請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記物体は、メッシュから成る、請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記物体は、複数本の絡み合わされた繊維から成る、請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記物体は、複数本の絡み合わされたリボンから成る、請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記保持部材は、複数本のストラットを有し、前記ストラット相互間には空間が形成され、前記材料は、前記空間内で自由に浮動する、請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記係合部材は、複数個の歯を有する、請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記保持部材は、複数本のストラットを有し、前記ストラットは、前記係合部材で終端する、請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記保持部材は、巻線から成る、請求項1記載の器具。
- 左心耳内に配置可能な器具であって、
一連のストラットを形成するようレーザ切断された管を有し、
前記管は、送達のための第1の細長い形態及び配置のための第2の拡張形態を呈し、前記ストラットは、前記ストラットの遠位領域が近位領域よりも大きな寸法を有するよう外方に延び、前記ストラット相互間には空間が形成され、前記器具は、前記ストラットによって形成された前記空間内に非取り付け状態で位置決めされていて、凝血塊を前記左心耳内に位置させたままであるようにすることができるよう前記空間内で浮動する物体を更に有する、器具。 - 前記物体は、メッシュから成る、請求項10記載の器具。
- 前記物体は、複数本の絡み合わされた繊維から成る、請求項10記載の器具。
- 前記物体は、複数本の絡み合わされたリボンから成る、請求項10記載の器具。
- 前記ストラットは、形状記憶材料で構成されている、請求項10記載の器具。
- 前記物体は、前記左心耳内への前記ストラットの配置後に前記ストラットによって形成されている前記空間内に位置決め可能である、請求項10記載の器具。
- 左心耳からの凝血塊移動を制止する方法であって、
複数本のストラットを備えた保持部材を含む器具を輪郭形状の縮小位置で収容したシースを前記左心耳内に挿入するステップと、
前記シースから前記保持部材を露出させて前記保持部材が拡張し前記左心耳の壁に係合することができるようにするステップと、
その後、物体を現場で前記複数本のストラット相互間の空間内に挿入して前記空間内で浮動することができるようにするステップと、
前記シースを引っ込めて前記保持部材が前記左心耳内に残るようにし、その結果、前記物体が前記保持部材内の前記空間内で浮動するようにするステップと、を有し、
前記器具は、凝血塊を前記左心耳内に位置させたままであるようにする、方法。 - 前記保持部材は、複数本の形状記憶ストラットを有し、前記保持部材の露出ステップにより、前記ストラットは、形状記憶位置に向かって動くことができる、請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記保持部材は、前記保持部材を前記左心耳内に固定するための左心耳係合部材を有する、請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記物体は、メッシュである、請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記物体は、絡み合わされたリボン又は絡み合わされた繊維のうちの一方である、請求項16記載の方法。
