Abstract
【解決手段】粉末状原料を予備成形用金型で加熱せずに加圧して固める予備成形工程と、傾斜面を有する成形用金型で加熱加圧して摩擦材に傾斜面を形成する成形工程を含むディスクブレーキパッドの製造方法において、予備成形工程で得られた予備成形品のバックプレートとの張付側とは反対側に、摩擦材に形成されるべき傾斜面の角度よりも大きな角度の傾斜面を形成するとともに、バックプレートとの張付側に除肉部を形成する。

Description
図1は、本発明の製造方法に使用される予備成形用金型の図である。予備成形用金型10は、上型15と枠型16及びプランジャ17の3つの金型から構成される。これらはプレス機に取り付けられるが、枠型16は固定され、上型15及びプランジャ17は図の上下方向に移動可能な状態である。枠型16の中空部16aは、断面形状が図5(a)に示す摩擦材3の正面からみた形状と同じ形状で、中空部16aは枠型16の上下を貫通して形成されている。プランジャ17は、この中空部16a内を昇降自在である。また、プランジャ17の上面の中央には平面17aが、その両端には傾斜面17b,17bが形成されている。この傾斜面17bの角度はβである。傾斜面17bをプランジャ17に形成するので、傾斜面と平面との境界線が、図5の境界線5,5のように平行な場合に限らず、図5(a)の境界線6,6や図5(b)の境界線7,7のように非平行なものでも形成可能である。また、上型15には、後述する予備成形品30に除肉部30cを形成するための余肉部15aが形成されている。

Claims (1)
- 粉末状原料を予備成形用金型で加圧して固める予備成形工程と、傾斜面を有する成形用金型で加熱加圧して摩擦材に傾斜面を形成する成形工程を含むディスクブレーキパッドの製造方法において、前記予備成形工程で得られた予備成形品のバックプレートとの張付側とは反対側に、摩擦材に形成されるべき傾斜面の角度よりも大きな角度の傾斜面を形成するとともに、バックプレートとの張付側に除肉部を形成することを特徴とするディスクブレーキパッドの製造方法。
