Abstract
【解決手段】 光コネクタを組み立てるときは、まずリアハウジング8、外被押さえ部材9、固定部材10及びブーツ11に光コード2を通し、光コード2の先端部分の外被4を除去して光ファイバ心線3及び抗張力繊維5を露出させる。また、内蔵ファイバを保持したフェルール部材6に柄付きダストキャップ16Aを装着する。そして、融着機によって内蔵ファイバと光ファイバ心線3とを融着接続する。その後、フェルール部材6に柄付きダストキャップ16Aを装着したまま、プラグハウジング7をリアハウジング8に組み付ける。そして、外被押さえ部材9及び固定部材10により外被4及び抗張力繊維5をリアハウジング8に固定し、固定部材10にブーツ11を装着する。最後に、柄付きダストキャップ16Aの柄部16aを切断する。

Claims (2)
- 内蔵ファイバを保持するフェルール本体を有するフェルール部材と、前記フェルール部材を収容する第1ハウジングと、前記内蔵ファイバと接続される光ファイバが導入される第2ハウジングとを備えた光コネクタの組立方法において、
前記フェルール本体に保護キャップを装着する工程と、
前記第2ハウジング内に導入された前記光ファイバと前記内蔵ファイバとを融着接続する工程と、
前記フェルール本体に前記保護キャップを装着したまま前記第1ハウジングに前記保護キャップを挿通させて、前記第1ハウジングと前記第2ハウジングとを組み付ける工程とを含むことを特徴とする光コネクタの組立方法。 - 前記保護キャップとして、先端に柄部が設けられたものを用い、
前記第1ハウジングと前記第2ハウジングとを組み付ける工程を実施した後、前記柄部を切断する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の光コネクタの組立方法。
